My daughter (will be 5) wants to have her birthday at ice rink. We cannot afford to pay for everyone to skate. I was thinking of having party at home with games, cake, and ice cream from 6pm to 7pm (Sat.) and then going to rink afterwards (from 7:15pm to 8:15pm). We are not able to provide full transportation (only room for two more in our vehicle) or admission. What should we do? We plan on inviting 8 children (friends) and 8 adults (family and friends). (Would it be rude to let her have one or two special friends come?) What should we put on invitations?

OUTSIDE of religious writings, is there any proof at all that a Jesus of Nazareth ever lived? Both the Romans and Jews kept scrupulous records and there is no mention of him. The nearest thing there is, are writings by Josephus, who lived years later and also believed in flying chariots of fire in the sky.

Dinner conversation last night partially consisted of whether or not whites and blacks should date, marry and have kids. This family is a Christian family who say they have no other "problems" (in other words they aren't prejudice -- EXCEPT for this) with black people, just that the two skin colors shouldn't be mixed.

Is this in the Bible, that races shouldn't mix?
(Beside God saying that the Israelites should marry other Israelites. That was a religious issue, that they shouldn't marry pagans and idol-worshipers, not a race thing.)

I’m really not trying to be insulating or anything. I even went back to read old questions. I still don’t understand. Why do the Jews not accept Jesus as the Messiah? I thought he fulfilled all the messiah prophesies? What are the prophesies that you are waiting to be fulfilled? Please be as specific as you can. Bible verses and websites are welcomed.
