My brother is suffering from insomnia, fever, agitation, roaming, foaming at the mouth, screaming fits and superhuman strength. Should I call a priest or Mohinder Suresh?
Please help. I tried to ask this in R&S, but I got a violation notice. (Geez those folks are a little bit touchy these days.)

Ok I looked in the book "Monsters" by John Michael Greer, and it says that those ARE the signs of demon possession, but they could also be:
Other Monstrous Beings: "there are many classes of entities who will in some cases attack human beings. Being attacked by one of the Lords of the Abyss can be a good deal more gratifying to the ego than being pestered by an irritated house fay or haunted by a ghost. It's wise to test for the various other types of entities first, using the methods of banishment discussed elsewhere in this book, and conclude that the demon is present only if other possibilities have been ruled out."
Mental Illness: "This is the most important source of confusion in cases of demonic activity, and it's made even more difficult by the overlap between the work of demons and the ordinary (or extraordinary) malfunctions of the human mind. Since possessed persons can become a danger to themselves or others, any person who may be possessed or obsessed should receive competent, professional psychological care at once."
Then there's fantasy and fraud, but I'm sure that's not the problem here.

There are different levels of demon possession. Every psychic, fortune teller and witch doctor and occultist has demons, but most of the time they are not fully demon possessed. If they were, they would probably be doing horrible things like terrible killings, mass murders, and anything that totally opposes the love of God. Those who hate Christ might have demons. If someone is talking with another voice it's probably a demon. Psychiatrists cannot deal with demon possession at all. If you depend on one of them and have that problem, you may end up in a mental institution for life and go through horrible things. It's best to get help from a spirit-filled pastor, a Full Gospel pastor or go to a deliverance center type of church.

In the Catholic Manual of exorcists, there are a few things that would point to possession.
Speaking in a language that the victim has never learned.
Telling of events that the victim would have no knowledge.
Telekinetic occurences that would rule out simple mental illness (levitation is a common one)
Physical changes in the victim's body without any medical explanation.
While these are not conclusive, they are typical signs. Much more anaylsis, psychiatric exams, etc. are required before they can conclusively say it is demonic possession.

no possession, but symptoms of what you'd call "evil eye".
in my culture "a disenchantment" is mandatory - if you don't know any, try to blow over his head and recite a short poem you know by heart.
they say that if you yawn while reciting, he's been casted an evil eye on and your charm is working.
you can do the same thing by reciting over a glass of water and then asperse with the enchanted water over his forehead.
a real medical checkout is also a very good idea.

it sounds like you brother is show signs of a mental disorder but if he is foaming at the mouth he may be having seizures of some sort. Consult a doctor and look up eplisey on the web for facts on this disorder

hi! the signs of being possessed by a demon is when you go to church and he/ she will like burn , if he/she cannot hold a cross , and if he/she is acting kinda weired.

very few people even know what demon possesion looks like. An unforgiving heart, holding grudges, depression, drug addiction, any condition that seperates you from fellowship with God is demon possession or is in relation to demon possession. You can inject them with "holy water" and it wont do any good. Read your bible about dealing with demon possession.
