Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. What name did Jesus come in??? Jesus!!! Jesus said he came
in His Father's name. Jesus is the temple/body of the fulness of God the Spirit. Romans 1:20, says we are without excuse for not "clearly" seeing & understanding His eternal
power and Godhead, because they can be seen thru His
creation. Who was created in God's image, after his likeness? Man, and man is body & Spirit.

Genesis 1:26, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness". If His image & likeness are the
same, why did He repeat himself? Because they are two
different things. Image is # 6754 in Strong's Hebrew dictionary, and means phantom or illusion, but likeness is
number 1823, and means shape or model. Man was created
in God's image/spiritual and in God's likeness/bodily. We
are the body/temple of God, but not the fulness of the Spirit.
Jesus is the body/temple of God, and has the fulness of
God the Spirit.

This is why Jesus said, "My God, my God, why have you
forsaken me?", while He was dying. The Spirit of God had
to leave Jesus inorder for Him to die. Just as our spirit leaves our body when we die.

Romans 1:20, is such a great verse. We can see the
invisible things of God, by observing His created things.
It is a great study to compile a list of these created things,
along with their spiritual counterpart. One is the sun and
the moon; the sun as a type of God's light, and the moon,
who has no light of her own, but reflects the light of the sun.
Doesn't the church reflect God's light in a dark world?

Think of the tree in winter, which looks dead, but within is
life, and at God's appointed time, that life will bud. There
are soooooo many examples.

Great question. I have been baptized, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, for the remission of my sins. I believe it is a commandment, among many, that we must follow in order to be saved. I wish all the people could see His truth and come to Him, but unfortunately some are blinded, whether by the deceitfulness of the Devil or their own stubborn choices, or both.
I agree with you that it is very important.
I wasn't sure what you meant about Jesus being the Rock of offense, and I feel some took it the wrong way. The way I see Jesus is as a Rock of strength, comfort, wisdom and guidance (not only Jesus, but God the Father, and the Holy Spirit as well). He is the Cornerstone of the church, and our one true way to God and Heaven.
Thanks for your question.
God bless.

Nothing, people do it all the time. In fact, 500 years ago people basically made up their own doctrine to deal with what they don't understand.
Jesus is a Rock of Offense? That's a new one on me but, it does prove my point.

I won't be baptized in Jesus' name because I am not a Christian; I believe that Jesus was a Great prophet but not a God.
So how do you convince a Muslim that Jesus is a Rock?

Baptism is only a public display of your belief in Jesus Christ, It does not get you salvation. Your right! Acts 2:38 and probably should throw in 39 should be a given.

its true that father son and holy ghost are not names, they are
titles.
38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

What's stopping me is a lack of belief. I just don't believe in any of it, so there's no point in me doing it.

And what is a "Rock of Offense", anyway?
