1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor DRUNKARDS, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom."

They will not fornicate...

They will not commit idolatry....

They will not commit adultery...

They will not commit homosexual sin....

They will not steal or be greedy.....

They will not abuse/use alcohol.......

Looks like the 99% of Christians dont have the fruits God is looking for.

How many Christian men have NEVER fornicated in their life and how many have NEVER abused alcohol like a Drunkard ?

I "like" someone a lot but he's not making any moves. Maybe he's just not that into me. Or maybe I gotta take the 1st step?

I look back over all the stuff Ive read, films Ive seen and things I have done which got me to where I am now, and looking back, think over how they have shaped me.

Christians, don't feel excluded from this question, it is partly in response to how you draw on the Bible, and there are many books for me which have had just as much influence as that one has for you.

We shouldn't be ashamed that our beliefs may have been shaped by stories which inspire us, we should be proud of it. In ancient times storytellers and bards were held in similar status (under different law) to kings. Merlin and Taliesin were both weavers of story and Magick alike.

So..what books or stories inspired you to the beliefs you have now?

And non-Christians just don't have to say it?

Or is it wrong to include any mention of God, gods, or religions because it leaves some out?

Hi!
I am a teenage girl who's family is all Protestant. But the fact of the matter is that we never go to Church. I know this may sound odd to some of you, but I really really want to be a part of the Catholic faith and go to this one Catholic church in my small town which I haven't gone to since I was like five. I dont know how my mom will react to this considering she's not really "into" religion and all that. And Im not entirely sure how I can become a Catholic when I am so lost when it comes to all of this stuff. One of the girls in my school is Catholic and tries to tell me things like how all Catholics pray 5 times a day, they wash their hands before they pray, they read the Bible, especially the Rosary, etc. Im not sure if she is right about all these facts so thats what Im here for. I just really want to know how I can become a Catholic and what guidelines do I have to follow to stay that way? Thank you for all who answer this. Its much appreciated! :-)

"If the Christian has discovered a new means of perception, I am perfectly willing to listen to his claim, provided that he is willing to argue for his assertion...He claims to have experienced God, but refuses to explain the process by which he, a physical organism, experienced this supernatural being. Has he discovered a new sense? Can it be tested? Can he explain, not only what he claims to know, but how he acquired this knowledge?"

alot of the questions ive read answers on in here make me mad and sad. some of these religious people are blind, no wonder they are called sheep, just being led to the slaughter house. its absurd when people say unless they're christian you should speak to them or you should try to convert them, or people who can't think for themselves so they have to quote a book, a book that isn't even relative to most of lifes worries and questions and modern situations. has religion just blindfolded people and the real point of life, we are all the same, we all come from the same source, and no religion can claim other wise.

I dream to create a foundation that would give unconditional shelter at night to those people who needs it. Unconditional meaning, they are not obligated to attend any lectures or any thing they don't want. if possible dinner included.

Does anyone know how I can get started?

Thanks

I am stunned that someone would actually say and believe that. I happen to know that kids are being taught lies in the textbooks about evolution, in the sense theories are presented as fact to them (that is abuse) and the fact that discipline is rarely allowed and bullies get to pick on kids mercilessly in school because everyone fears discipline, that is abuse. But I never realized people think that giving someone hope in eternity through Jesus Christ and his incredible love for them would be considered abuse. That just tells me the world is completely upside down and Jesus is coming soon. what do you think?
