Do I address an Episcopal clergyman as Father or Reverend or Vicar or something else? This is in the US, if that makes any difference. Thanks.

There are soooooo many meetings and service and bible studies to attend, that my daughter's one extracurricular activity, will be squashed in between the Tues./Thurs. night meetings (her ext. activity willb eon Wed.nights), and every toher weekend, the kids go to thier dads.
I like the JW studies, am a little bit spooked about some of the stuff (transfusions and disfellowshipping, as I have kids, and what if they dont do right? Am I forced to completely ignore them? What happens if a accident happens, am I suppoed to watch them die), and am further discontented with the amoutn of time required at meetings.......I will have no time with my kids by the time I get off work, pick up from daycare, and go straight to meetings.............Help!

and god impregnated mary without first getting her consent instead of just telling her you will bear my child....
wouldn't that be considered a form of rape?
i mean after all according to the bible he didn't give her any choice in the matter.

Did Jesus not teach us to "turn the other cheek", "Forgive thy Neighbour" and so forth.....Why are their so many fundimental Christians who seem to forget this fact when they are calling for another man's blood because he has sinned? Are their exceptions in Jesus' preachings on the matter or are these people just being hippocritical?

Why don't kids read Leviticus or Ezekiel, heck, Numbers at SS?

Why do SS (no pun) teachers skip the parts in which god gives way to the bloodiest carnage ever?

What do you tell your kids about those sections commanding people to stone adulteresses or slaying babies or keeping slaves or looting homes, as the bible god commands? You skip that or what?

And when met with a contradiction or an absurdity, do you embellish it? (i.e., distort and lie about it?)

Please don't make me copy/paste scripture, you very well know what I'm talking about.

Plagues have been a major part of human history, which is why humans had a life expectancy of 20-30 years and an infant mortality rate of about 50% until the advent of modern medicine. The influenza virus mutates and evolves like hell, but luckily the scientists at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta use an evolutionary model to track the various strains and subspecies of the flu virus.

Likewise with the rest of modern medicine: evolutionary theory is the conceptual bedrock on which nearly all modern medicine is based. The Human Genome Project, gene therapy, and many other cures simply wouldn't exist without an evolutionary model. Luckily, you creationists profit from all this modern medicine in spite of your willful ignorance.

What if, for argument's sake, you had to sign an affidavit affirming belief in evolution to get vaccinated or admitted to a hospital? Would you creationists sign the document or would you take your chances with faith healing and prayer?

... is there any particular time or day of the week when the supermarket isn't full of any of the following groups of people:

* fat (I mean hugely obese)
* overly facially pierced
* tattooed and showing it off (usually along with their fat belly by wearing a short top)
* young mums who walk down the aisle with buggies next to each other trying to cram a weeks shopping into a basket balanced on top of the buggy
* the elderly who use their trolley like a zimmer frame and move in slow motion
* anyone who thinks the aisle crossroads are social clubs for stopping and chatting

Seriously, don't you think the supermarkets need to ban these people at certain times of day to let those of us with a list and a time constraint (and a life!) get our shopping and get out ASAP without being held up or put off our dinner?

Where Did The Trinity Come From ?
The three monotheistic religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - all
purport to share one fundamental concept: belief in God as the Supreme
Being, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. Known as "tawhid" in
Islam, this concept of the Oneness of God was stressed by Moses in a
Biblical passage known as the "Shema," or the Jewish creed of faith:
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." (Deuteronomy 6:4)

It was repeated word-for-word approximately 1500 years later by Jesus
when he said: "...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the
Lord our God is one Lord." (Mark 12:29)

«"Muhammad came along approximately 600 years later, bringing the same message again: "And your God is One God: There is no God but He, ..."» (The Qur'an 2:163)

Christianity has digressed from the concept of the Oneness of God,
however, into a vague and mysterious doctrine that was formulated during the fourth century

Do you think that women who get paid very little to nothing to star in things like Girls Gone Wild and Suicide Girls are willingly exploiting themselves as an excuse for liberating their sexuality?

Do you think these manifestations are signs of the sexual repression we placed on our kids and teens when they were young?
