I have asked a similar question. But, if one is willing to cherry pick from their holy text(s), they will certainly do the same with science.

Hmm, isn't the human genome project sprouted from the research of a monk named Mendel? A creationist, by the way.
I've never heard of any actual "gene therapy" to be a cure for anything.
I'm quite sad, actually, that creationism is ignored. If it wasn't, we would all be focusing less on chemical "cures" that either leave us crippled in some other way or just turn off symptoms.
People should look into nutritional therapy instead, as it has shown a much larger rate of success and nearly no deaths as a direct result.
I've also heard that vaccination can cause autism. A direct drop in flu vaccinations actually caused a proportional drop in autism. I believe it was in New Zealand, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

For argument's sake, that scenario is already addressed in the bible. It says not to worry about what will kill the body, worry about what kills the soul.
I believe evolution exists, and I don't think it contradicts the word of God (if He exists). However, Creationists do not. To them, in that situation, it would be like a person with a gun to their head saying, "If you denounce your faith, you can live", or a person saying, "If you don't bear the mark of the beast, you cannot buy food, make transactions, work, or do anything with society (and maybe actually be thrown in jail)"
Anyway, to be honest with you, even as an atheist, I would not sign such an affidavit affirming belief in evolution. That just seems a bit.. Cult-ish..

examine out it this manner. It took 3 hundred years for people to settle for the earth replaced into not flat. Evolution and the recognition of recent technology could take longer. If any of them can examine this, they are finished hypocrites nevertheless. Electron thought is what's inflicting their laptop to artwork good now. it is purely a thought in spite of each and every thing. it is not a proof of the info and how we can earnings from those info or something like that. @Mo ham attempt me. the enormous majority of scientists are atheists or agnostics. There have even been surveys on it. We excel in technology and the organic worldwide consequently we make great applicants for scientific fields. Your fake experience of know-how is exhibiting.

My personal stance on the situation is this. I believe in God and I believe in Evolution. I don't see that the two are mutually exclusive. For all science's knowledge they still have no realistic theory as to the creation of the universe. Scientifically speaking how can there be nothing, then a "Big Bang"? If you can show me in science where you can cause an explosion for NOTHING, in fact create anything from nothing then we can talk. But I digress. I do have one question for you; where does your anger at someone with a different opinion from you come from? Does another persons thought actually harm you in any way that you feel the need to lash out and belittle them? Sounds a lot like organized religion to me.

I am truly sad to inform you that you have been fed a bill of goods & you are badly misinformed. Ask any doctor how much the actual "principles of Evolution" affect his/her ability to take care of you & whether or not they are Evolutionists, they'll answer you "not much if at all."
In fact, I would argue that contrary to your assertion the worldview/philosophy/speculation/myth of Evolution (it's anything but science) has done more harm in the field of medical science than good. For example, the ideas of vestigial organs & "junk" DNA are products of Evolutionary thinking. Medical scientists are now learning that these organs & "junk" DNA do indeed have important functions. Just because we don't know what they do doesn't mean they have no use. Do you know how many unnecessary or harmful surgeries have been done as a result of this faulty thinking? Here are any number of articles, some technical that cite these things: http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/vestigialorgans.asp.
In addition, it is likely those medical scientists who hold tightly to the worldview of Evolution are the same as those wasting a lot of time, money & lives pursuing embryonic stem cell research (that as of today has *not* produced any life saving or healing therapies). Instead, with their propaganda & insistence on tax funded murder are holding back the adult stem cell research--that which is yielding all of the beneficial, life saving/extending therapies (http://www.stemcellresearch.org/facts/treatments.htm)! Embryonic stem cell research proponents (nearly all of whom I would bet hold to some form of Evolution) lose the argument on two levels: they are destroying life to begin with & the results aren't saving any lives anyway!
Fact: The man who invented the MRI is an outspoken six day Creationist. And he didn't have to put his religion on the shelf to accomplish it. (http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v16/i3/science.asp; http://www.answersingenesis.org/search/default.aspx?q=MRI&site=default_collection#q=MRI&site=default_collection).
1. Mutation *does not* equal Evolution. Neither does Natural Selection. Learn the truth about these things, not what your high school science text taught you. ("Mutation", "Natural Selection", "Information Theory" http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/qa.asp)
2. The science of modern medicine is a completely separate & different from the branch of science called forensics one example being origins science (http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/ee/what-is-science).
3. One of the original scientists responsible for the Human Genome Project actually flirts with the principles in Intelligent Design--which, however, is completely separate & different than Creation Science (http://www.touchstonemag.com/archives/article.php?id=19-08-032-f).
4. Many of the fathers of modern science where at least Deists, if not outright Christian (http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/bios/#).
5. Most Christians know that God works through medical scientists, doctors & medical professionals to heal them, whether those medical professionals are Christian or not (See link to doctrine of vocation below). I'm afraid you are using a straw man argument.
6. There are non-Creationist, non-Christian scientists out there who counter to the peer pressure have spoken out against the philosophy/speculation of Evolution precisely because it corrupts science (http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v25/i3/butterfly.asp)!
No, I am not thankful for man's empty philosophy. This particular one has fueled by far the most & biggest genocidal rants in human history to date (http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/communism.asp). On the contrary, I am thankful that despite man's willing ignorance (Romans 1), God chooses to work through us sinful & degenerate humans to help one another anyway!

Actually it doesn't, various members of the scientific community have responded many times to creationist claims. For example the "London Texas" hammer was responded to in 1985 as being a recent object and again recently, but it is still being paraded as a proof of a young earth.

You are very ignorant!
Science is about TESTING things, is it not?
It is constantly changing!
Creationists don't have a problem with micro
evolution - macro evolution has a lot of scientific
problems - it is the part of evolution that has
NOTHING to do with medicine and EVERYTHING
to do with humans having a relationship with God or
not - it's the part of evolution that is pseudo-science and
it is actually a BELIEF of how humans formed from lower
species with a lower level of intellect and awareness.
It is not substantiated enough to be a theory!
