and god impregnated mary without first getting her consent instead of just telling her you will bear my child....
wouldn't that be considered a form of rape?
i mean after all according to the bible he didn't give her any choice in the matter.

I find it offensive and demeaning that God imposed his will on Mary without giving her a choice in the matter.
This God is a control freak.

I think that in the religion, they see it as right because she was holy. (if you read the catholic bible) and because god can do whatever he wants. God technically didnt impregnate mary, the holy ghost did. Dont ask most ppl because no one really knows what the hell they are talking about anyways. They do as they are told and dont question.

No impregnation required. Mary gave her consent for the Holy Spirit to work this miracle of a virgin birth: 'Let it be unto me as you have said' (Luke 1:30-38). No sex involved therefore no rape.
You are failing to take into consideration the fact that the Word of God emptied himself of his heavenly glory as part of the Godhead in order to become an embryo in Mary's womb being born as the man-child, Jesus. Unique. Nothing like normal human reproduction. Sex did not come into it.

God had nothing to do with it . He just took the rap . Mary was impregnated by a ghost . Check the Apostle's Creed .

No, it is not a serious question, you are deliberately trying to bait people for the sake of pissing them off.
If you're going to do that, and least make it funny, such as; "Why do some people have a hard time learning Spanish? It can't be that hard if Mexicans speak it.

First of all Mary did consent. "'Let it be unto me as you have said".
Second of all, judging by the answers on here, people don't really want serious answers, they just want to ridicule and attack. Any serious answer anyone could give you would be immediately disregarded. You cannot open a closed mind.

Mary knew she would be impregnated with Jesus by the Holy Spirit through God; it was because of Mary's faith in God that her allowed her to bare Jesus. When you do good things that are pleasing unto God and you desire things he will bless you with them. Mary was a very humble, obedient and loving woman that's why God choose her.

Yes He is. Didn't He say so?

In the pre-existance Mary was a very special spirit who was fore ordained for this. This was the same as Jeremiah was fore ordained as a Prophet (Jeremiah 1:5).

God talked to her and told her what was his intent. I don't really believe He does major things like this without our personal consent.
He certainly will not take you into His heaven without your consent.!!!!!!!
As others have said your off track with rape there was no sex act.
