Perhaps the thief made himself worthy of worship that day as well?

I came across a post, where the child was ugly to me. A lot of people called the child very pretty and this and that (blah blah blah). Thing is, if this was a grown woman, they would have been thrashing her left and right. Why, because she is a child, people tend to play sympathy? Is there some grace period to wait before people start being honest and telling it like it is. Im not talking about telling the child directly that she is ugly, but I am just talking about a general opinion....

I'm bi i came out 4 days ago and i asked my mom why do Chrisitans hate gays so much the hate has been formed as in the middle ages they were blamed for the bad weather and killed and ever since the hate has stood ... were dose it say in the Bibel its wrong what page number many many Christians are hyprictes why do you hate gays so much what cause you claim god sees it as a sin there fore there sinners well wake up call your a sinner your self and i don't see a person judging you but you see them judging us. All sins are the same they all need prayer for for givness so why only focus on gays as sinners its not our fault we like both sex's its not a choice its a filling but we get judged as if we chose to be gay. And people say gays go to hell NOT TRUE just like you pray for your sins to be forgiven we do the same it says there is no sin unforgivable there fore how are we commaned to hell

Serious answers only please.

What are the feelings and the experiences that individuals undergo once they accept the gift of salvation?

I mean personally what do you feel emotionally, physically and spirtually?

Do you feel God and His holy ghost's presence more intensly than usual let say when you're worshipping and praising.

What are the most visible changes that someone undergoes?

Thanks in advance for your help. God bless you all

As a child this painting of the Joker scared me and my cousin a lot every time we slept over at my grandmother's house. A painting... of a fictional character...

Many Christian parents tell their children that the WORST pain that can't even be conceived literally exists to FOREVER torture 'sinners' who don't accept Jesus Christ by burning in a lake of fire.

If this isn't child abuse then I don't know WHAT is! I'd be petrified if my parents told me this as a child! (If they indoctrinated the belief into me, that is. They are Christian/Catholic, but never brought up Hell.. let alone as a scare tactic.)

A very common and popular understanding of "evolution" is that it is a theory that explains the entire process of the whole universe from beginning until now. (And the Theory of Relativity combined with the Bing Bang Theory argue for the truth that the universe had a beginning). Therefore, with THIS very COMMON understanding of "evolution", abiogenesis IS included within the concept of "evolution". This is the "popular" understanding of evolution, and is even reasonable with one of the many "definitions" of the word "evolution" given in Dictionaries.

Some atheists use "evolution" in this manner, just as Christians.

-
Sure, there is the definition of "evolution" that does NOT include abiogenesis, but only microevolution and/or the "supposed" development and differentiation of biological species via "macroevolution", etc...

-
But WHY do people get so infuriated? If people ask a question regarding "evolution" from the first standpoint, why so MUCH emotion?

So does that mean when I have children, I shouldn't get them christened? What is the meaning of having a godparent anyways? If there a non-religious alternative? All I rememeber my godparents doing is buying me presents!

Seriously shouldn't symbols be of christ's rising not his death. i know he meant to have conquered it but it almost seems like you praise the death more then the life.

explain to me the relevance of the cross.

I work at a Japanese restaurant, and as of late, my boss (the restaurant owner) has been splitting tips with me and the rest of the workers. Yes, she helps out, but only about 15% of what the waitresses do... the rest of the time she's just talking with customers or eating and chatting with her friends that come in to eat. But when it comes time to split tips, she splits it evenly among herself and the workers! I can't describe how incredibly furious I am...........

By exclusivity I mean their belief that if you don't believe everything they do, you deserve to be tormented for all eternity in Hell. It is impossible not to resent somebody for holding that sort of belief about you. Don't Christians realize this belief does more harm than good?

He is very real and he is a personal God. He loves us and answers our prayers and wants us to return to Him.

I am asking your opinion because I am shocked by the number of people on this site that have turned away from Jesus.

Your thoughts?

I am being serious when I ask this. I mean NO disrespect, but don't you think the idea of ceasing to exist FOREVER when you die is terrible?

How can atheist live day to day "thinking" that when they die they cease to exist for all eternity? What's worse is that not everyone lives to old age. There are plenty of peope killed in car accidents, etc. when they are in their teens or 20's.

How can you live like this?

I believe in Jesus. I am comforted with the fact that because I am a Christian I will go to Heaven forever when I die because Jesus sacrificed Himself so that I might be saved. I deserve punishment for my sins. I don't deserve to go to Heaven, but Jesus has promised that if we believe in Him, we will be saved.

Where do you stand?
