I appologize for not including this but i do know that faith is a requirment. My question is at the first time around like right after you've given your life to God, what do you instantly feel and experience? Thanks for your responses so far.

Salvation is gift from the Father. We can avail it through His Appointed Son. Religion and Denomination can not save us. It is only by the Father through His Son.

When we receive salvation, it is like a total overhaul. The Father will really clean us inside out. There is chastening. He will purify as He is. Spiritually, he will give us a white robe raiment. It is a symbol for righteousness.

Man is inherently evil. After we surrender ourselves to the will of the Father, After we repent, the gap that was cut between the Father and people will be restored. This is the reason why after we repent, when we pray, we can feel the presence and comfort of the FAther. We can see His perfect will as we are guided by His Appointed Son. We can feel his guidance and his presence.

The gap between the Father and us is restored. We can talk to Him through prayer and he can talk to us through dreams, vision and through His audible voice as written on Number 12:6.

The true meaning of happiness and satisfaction can only be felt in his presence.

Because our Father is righteous, He will give us a new life. The fruits of the flesh as written on Galatians 5 will be replaced by the fruits of the Spirit still written on the same chapter.

Salvation is freely given but we have to avail/ grab it. That is because we still have our freedom of choice. That is what separates us from the animals. The Father treats us as human and not as robots. We make our own choices.

When we are renew, we always see the will of the Father. Sometimes, this even means sacrificing our time, lives, money to be used for His glory.

The Father is so good and his presence is so overwhelming. That sometimes when we praise Him, we can't help but shout for joy and cry for happiness and thanksgiving, That is the reason why we shout, clap and we give praise, as writtten Psalms 47.

Each person will experience Christ in a different way I think- however we have to be very careful when it comes to feelings- I have been a born again believer since I was 17 and I am almost 50 and I can you, if I based my faith on feelings I could have lost faith a long time ago- because to be perfectly honest, life is not always wonderful, even when you are a Christian. For me I have experienced the presence of Christ the most when I acknowledge my suffering and pain. What I mean to say is this- I have a chronic pain disease that has lasted most of my life, and I sometimes just don't feel like praising God, but when I do I experience Him in ways that I would have missed if I had hid behind my pain, and not praise Him through it. Do not misunderstand me, being a believer, can be very emotional- there are times that I just cry - because I realize how much the Lord loves me, and how much I do not deserve that love. But worshiping Him in spirit and in truth is the most important thing, because if you are looking for a great feeling, you will not find it, but when you seek after God and God alone- you will experience God and feel His presence.
Psalm 37:4 has become one of my life verses
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart". In other words, do not desire the feeling or experience, but delight in Him, and He will become your greatest desire- which far exceeds any feeling or experience.

I was saved 31 years ago. I think I expected to feel an instantaneous feeling of the Holy Spirit in some way but I didn't. Everything felt the same. But I had great joy because I believed I now had Jesus dwelling in me and that I was saved. For many years my life as a Christian became much harder than it was before. My family hated my new found Christianity (which wasn't any religion, just a personal relationship now with Jesus) and felt I disowned the family faith and traditions. I began to tell my friends about the Lord and they didn't want to hang out with me any more. I had no church so I felt very alone. But the Lord was with me and he was my comforter. I read the bible alot and prayed to know what it all meant. Eventually I hooked up with other non-denominational believers and God even saved my best friend from before I was a Christian. All of this took time though. After we are saved, we have to wander in the wildernesses of "sin" and "sur" as the old testament states but I call them "sin" and "sure". That means we battle with our own sin after we are saved and our own faith and surety in Him just like the Israelites wandered in these wildernesses after they left Egypt and passed through the Red Sea. But gradually the Lord establishes you as Peter talks about in his letters. And the Lord blesses you if you persevere through those hard times. Today I am so happy and blessed. I have more than money can buy. (I don't mean to say he blessed me with money. That whole prosperity thing is something that Christ did not teach.) Jesus changes lives. His unmerited favor is our salvation and joy.

It is hard for me to explain but I will try.
I felt a great Joy inside.
Let me tell you what happened and maybe that will help.
It was Easter or close to it and a group came to church and put on a play about the Crucifixion and I was very moved and almost went down to the altar but stopped myself...I don't know why I wouldn't go but I just wouldn't.
That night or a short while later I had a dream and we were at war and Jesus was there and we were shooting bombs off out from under our carport(stupid I know but ...) and Jesus told me if I wasn't saved I couldn't help him fight the war and I promised him the next Sunday I would go down.
I almost didn't go down again but I told myself that would be lying to Jesus and so I went and that is when I felt the Joy and serenity.
I don't know about others but I have always believed in God and that Jesus was his Son.
Of course being human it is a struggle to be "good" but we are all just human and none are good. Galations 6:8
Read the book of John which is called the book of love.
I hope this has helped in some way. God Bless

I am a christian. I gave my life to christ when i was 9 yrs old. I am 20 a now and i feel awesome. I feel god the most when im in prayer or in worship. but being christian isnt based on just feelings. its your faith. But when you are wordhiping ( when im worshiping) and praising god, i really do feel him. especially ehen someone is there with me with the same vision as i do: to see souls saved from hell. There are many changes when you accept salvation. God helps you change into a new creation.
God Bless you too!

I felt like the minister who asked me to accept Jesus as my personal savior was a con job. My believe is God will judge not me I have no business assuming I will be saved. I may die today or 100 years from now. It is god who will judge me not myself or some Priest or Minister.
