All sins are the same they all need prayer for for givness so why only focus on gays as sinners its not our fault we like both sex's its not a choice its a filling but we get judged as if we chose to be gay. And people say gays go to hell NOT TRUE just like you pray for your sins to be forgiven we do the same it says there is no sin unforgivable there fore how are we commaned to hell

I believe in Christ... but I don't neccessarily believe the bible is the true word of God. I don't believe in hell or eternal punishment of people of other religions for an all loving God would never do such a thing to his creations. I;m also a supporter of Gay rights and somewhat support abortions too. Oh and that crap in the bible about women being inferior to men, as well as all the slavery, really ticks me off

Oh and I also know for a fact that the world is much more than 6000 years old... and that its possible that God masterminded a certain thing called evolution.

So yeah... I'm pretty liberal in my religious beliefs.

I think some hate gays because they are afraid of their own feelings..but we also need to remember that saying and BEING a Christian are two different things. Going to church does not make one a Christian any more then going to McDonald's will make you a hamburger.

A true Christian is one who has placed their trust in Jesus Christ for full payment for their sin. Once this has happened, they should be concerned about all sin, not just a specific sin.

I do agree, many do focus on one or two sins, often ones they do not have problems with, but if we find out what sin they have a problem with, then they do not want to talk about that. Paul did say each Christian does have some sins they do have problems with. Those are the ones I am concerned about..the ones I have a problem with.

The first link below leads to Romans chapter one. There is much there but lets look at two of these verses.

26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Heterosexual sin is just as wrong but do you know why God hates sin? Sin hurts people. God does not want us to get hurt. There is always a cost for sin and it always cost more then we can afford and it always cost others then the one doing it.

Gays do not go to hell. Un-forgiven non-believing sinners go to hell.

My friend, Romans 1:21-32 and 2:1
This book begins with talking about how there are sinners in the world and how God cannot stand it. Chapter two instantly begins with a rebuke on ppl who judge others. They are just as guilty of sin as those spoken of in the first chapter.
Everyone has sinned. But we are all able to be forgiven by grace through faith. We are all sinners, you, me, a priest, a pastor, the pope, the president... everyone. But you are right, because of asking for forgiveness, we are able to be saved from hell.

First I can't hate gays because I have a gay brother and Scripture says "He who hates his brother is,,,A MURDERER! i DON'T HATE you EIHTER! Now you did ask where it is written, so, Gen. 19:1-13, Lev 18:22; 20:13, Jdg 19: 15-25, ! Kings 14: 24,,,O.T.###Rom.1:26-27, 1Cor 6:9-10, 1Tim. 1:10, & Jude 1:7. Please I do not condemn you. God calls it SIN,,,,EVIL,,,and an ABOMINATION! This is His right!. Look if two of the same gender could come together and CONCIEIVE children,,,,,,, Look Wisdom says, love the sinner BUT hate the sin! So at least be celibate and don't give in to Satan! I Think Your soul cries to Got. Go to him in Christs NAME. please,,,,See, there is HEALING in Christ for a sin sick soul....

leviticus says its wrong to be gay. if a christian hates a gay person(or a bi person) that is also a sin. you have probably heard the cliche love the sinner hate the sin. thats what those christians who are messing with you should be doing. accepting you. i have had gay friends and it didnt change anything except that i knew they where living a life of sin. Jesus came to free us of our sinful nature and that includes any homosexual feelings. will gay people go to hell? not if you repent and ask jesus into your life and alow him to help you overcome your sin. as for the page number i cant tell you cause all bibles have different numbers of pages.

and to the fruitcake above me..... you cant be pagen and a christian. jesus said that he is the only way to God. pagens dont believe that stuff so your contrradicting yourself.

Everyone is going to hell if they don't believe in Christ, the only name under heaven by which man will be saved. That includes people who are straight, people who are gay and people who die virgins.

Now, the Lord is pretty clear on how He thinks about sexual sin. Sex outside of sex with your spouse is the physical equivalent of idolatry. The church is the bride of Christ. We are to worship Him only. Similarly, we are to be intimate only with the person to whom we have pledged to spend the rest of our lives in marriage.

I understand how you feel. My heart actually hurts for people who are gay in a way that probably doesn't come across well here. For this I apologize. Know that you have my compassion. I do not mean this at all in the way that I think that you are less than me and that I pity you. I only mean to say that if you believe God's Word, which states clearly that the Lord considers homosexual acts to be abominable to Him, it is a tough row to hoe to know that there can be no satisfying that need without sinning. This is incredibly painful for me to think about. Nevertheless, *every* person has besetting sins which must be nailed to the cross of Christ; He must increase, we must decrease.

Not only this, but by the LORD's stripes we are healed. Who we are sexually can be healed and we mostly all need sexual healing (that Marvin Gaye, he was so wise ;) ).

I realize I will get eleventeen thumbs down for what I've said and you will probably hate it too. That is okay with me. I'm going to go by what the Lord has said in His Word instead of soft-pedaling this issue.

But know this --- the Lord's sacrifice is needed for ALL man's sin. Don't let any straight person tell you that they are going to heaven and you're not *because* they are straight. That is a straight up lie. What saves us is that our righteousness is in Heaven, and that is Jesus Christ, the Lord!

It is true that in the middle ages that "Christians" persecuted homosexuals, and blamed them for every disaster. We need to understand that God tells us in Leviticus 18:22 it states:

22 " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

In the New Testament, it shows us that God sent His son into the world to save it from itself. Forgiveness from God is the only way to heaven. In Genesis 2:24, it tells us that "a man will leave his mother and father to live with his wife, they shall become one flesh."

People are born with deformity and they say why they are born with it. We have a choice to decide whether we follow God or not. Jesus said that the deformity is not his parents fault but to glorify God. So he healed him (there is a chapter and verse for this story but I am sorry I forgot where), once you trust in God, you will see that God is using you for others who are also confused. God uses all people to show that He is God, through Christs teaching.

For Christians, shame on them, Jesus said to love your neighbors as yourself in Luke 10:28-29. We are also sinners, your right, Christians need to be patience and follow the teachings of Christ and not your heart.

You will find your answer in life, but just remember to look at Christ's example and not at man. For man is still flawed, we need to be steadfast in Christ.

not all christians hate gays. those are the fundamentalist-extreme christian who believes they have the sole right and power to judge others, to tell people they would go to hell for simply having a different religious belief or view, those who proudly claim that they are holier and they will be saved and you're not..... im catholic and i dont hate gays, i love them.

It seems to me a lot of Christians judge everyone going against their own word of "god" that only he has the power to judge.

many gays are not repentant just like other with any sins
a straight man who watched porn for example is sinning greatly but.. gay is unnatural abomination...but these days much porn is also abomination in the acts
but you said repent.. so if free.. you wouldn't even want to do that sin anymore.. youd know how much it hurts someone else and hate it so much and not think of yourself but the pain and hurt it causes.
