We believe what we believe because we place our faith in the Church whose Sacred Scripture is replete with proofs of the Trinity!
In the Old Testament, from the very first chapter of Genesis, when God says, "Let US make man in OUR image," to God's use of two different persons in Malachi 3:1, each and every Book of the Old Testament (Tanach) speaks of the triune nature of our God. Isaiah, in the 9th chapter and 6th verse of his book, very clearly predicts that the Messiah will be called "a Mighty GOD" -- and the Gospels make clear that's Who Messiah is!

This could get me some really bad mean things said to me but here goes:
When christianity came to rome, there were a lot of pagans...when constantine decided to unite Rome under christianity, there were some pagans not happy about the new order of things, they hd always been taught that there were many gods that were not to be offended. So, t make more shiny happy people, a consensus came that they would use the peoples ignorance t their advantage and make jesus into god. The Romans knew when the census was held and stuff but not a lot of people knew that was supposed to be when Christ was born. So they modeled him on a paricular pagan god, cant remember the name, but he was born on 25 december to a virgin. He was called the Son of God and light of the world. He died and came bac to life after three days. Then they started doing the saint thing, where you could pray to a saint in order to speak to god. Christianity is very pagan like, we have multiple gods and plenty of symbols.
Okay haters, where do you think trees came from for christmas? And you think that christmas comes during Saturnalia as a coincidence? And WHAT does bunnies and eggs have anything to do with Jesus dying on the cross? Once again, any coincidence that Lupercalia is around the same time, and it was a fertility festival? And bunnies and eggs are fertility symbols? These things were made up so the Romans could still have their traditions and not get beheaded for disobeying the new rule.
Don't get me wrong I love my religion, and knowing this doesn't change my faith. But its true, get over it. I did.
EDIT: did I say beheaded? I meant thrown into the arena and eaten by a lion for sport. lol.
Oh, and it was Mithra, or Deus Sol Invictus Mithras

§âºÄ»Ä»Å· is right. It was formed out of the concepts that originated from the meeting of the Council of Nicea in 325 AD.

The keyword here is "polytheistic". YES! The trinity is definitely NOT a monotheistic concept. It's 3 entities that make up one, but nevertheless, it's not really one entity, so it's like worshiping multiple Gods, even though some Christians will try to convince you otherwise...

All false religions worship trinities
Harper’s Bible Dictionary
Baal / Bel ,
“Baal translates into English is Lord”
(Do you worship the Lord?)
Baal is the offspring (son) of El, (Hebrew for God)”
(Do you worship the Son of God?)
Baal is worshiped as a triad / trinity.”
(Do you worship a trinity of Gods?)
(Do you worship Baal?)
Where did I hear this teaching recently?
Sounds like a teaching of Satan, What do you think?
Who is fulfilling this prophecy?
(Jeremiah 23:27) 27 They are thinking of making my people forget my name by means of their dreams that they keep relating each one to the other, just as their fathers forgot my name by means of Ba´al.
(Psalm 83:18) 18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
Even if ‘Sam’ is a Grandfather, Father, and Son, Sam still has only one will, unless he is mentally disturbed or Sam is three different individuals. Sam Sr., Sam Jr., & Sam III.
It is by God’s will we have salvation.

Jesus revealed the Father and the Holy Spirit, and Jesus commanded us to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The word Trinity is used to describe the one, true, and triune God.
What's the big deal?

Bowman is onto something. The Trinity is from the Bible claim other answers. Who WROTE the bible. It is not God's word.
Jesus is a prophet, he is not the son of God. On judgement day he will absolve himself of this outrage.
God is one and only in his glory and has no partner. The Christian people have lost focus on the message and started worshipping the messenger.

God made a covenant with Abraham. As his decendants waited for the promise to Abraham, prophets foretold of a coming Messiah. When Jesus appeared, He fullfilled over 300 propheicies, and declared that He was indeed the Son of God, and proved it with His resurrection from the dead. He told His followers that He would send a comforter to guide them into all truth. The Holy Spirit is that comforter and Jesus is that truth. Therefore Jesus revealed the existence of a trinity.

First there is God, then there is Jesus, after his crucifixon and resurrection Christians were given the holy ghost/spirit as a comforter and intercessory. Therefore that is the blessed trinity, Father, Son, and Holy ghost.

this is pretty much the hardest thing to understand, and just cant be writen as well as actually talking about it.... God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are 3 in one.... like a 3 leaf clover, there are 3 leaves on one stem... NOT 3 gods..... Jesus came to earth as a human for us while he was still "bilocating" as God the father in heaven. very confusing, but it makes some sense when you really know the facts and think about it =)
