He knows we are inquisitive. If everything has a plan, he shouldn't mind explaining a few things here and there, or at least he shouldn't get angry.

I question God all the time.... I really think that God would want us to use the brains he gave us to ask questions and analyze things we read in the bible... to say to ourselves "would God really have said that?"

Because God doesn't exist, therefore "he" cannot answer your question. This is why his supporters say that he works in mysterious ways and that you can't possibly understand his answers anyway.

now imagine I told you that my pet rabbit had all the answers in the world (not so ridiculous compared to the invisible god you believe in, so stop rolling your eyes). Imagine I told you that if you believed that my rabbit could do anything and knew everything then he would guide you in your life and give you everything you've ever wanted, even after death. Then you tell me that you really want to know why your sister died at a young age. Well my rabbit should be able to tell you, right? But then I say that my rabbit's answer would be too much for your meager mind so he won't answer such questions. You'd pin me as a fraud (rightfully so, good on you for that), and have nothing to do with me. Why is it so hard to see how this is the same for the god of which you speak?

Jesus said ask and it will be answered, knock and the door will be opened, seek and you shall find.

Sounds like a promise to me. But alas, none of the three happens on a regular basis. Sure there are one or two cases here and there where something was answered or explained, but I'm an atheist and I get epiphanies as well.

Stop explaining god's shortcomings as anything other than that he does not exist. Try asking a Rabbit the same questions you ask god, pray for the same things, and i guarantee you'll get the same results.

As some others have touched on, why would an omnipotent being get angry AT ALL, much less for something as natural as debating your path in life. You've been spending too much time involved in some religion. I doubt the one true God has any desire to be angry for anything. Just about every religion has their version of God and it always seem to be an entity with a bad temper, full of jealousy and self-esteem issues. LOL

Where does it say that it's wrong to question God? Many people throughout the Old Testament questioned God. He didn't get angry unless the question was self-serving as in the case of Jonah who questioned God about saving Nineveh because Jonah was feeling a little self-righteous.

Abraham and Moses both not only questioned God. They even changed His mind.

He doesn't get angry when we question Him. You are right, He knows we are inquisitive. He made us this way. He knows we are full of questions and full of doubt. Even His closest children doubt Him from time to time. This isn't what makes God angry. Though some things do, this does not. If no one ever questioned Him, no one would ever give their life to Him.

I do believe there is nothing wrong with questioning God. I think it all depends on how you approach Him. If you are questioning God to find answers to your trials, I think that is perfectly legit to God, but questioning Him with disbelief and doubts is a different thing.

Everything is planned true, but not according to our plan. It should be according to His plan. If things aren't going so well, it is just a test of our faith. Much like a season, when winter season comes, there is always spring season to lighten up our day.

If we really pay attention in our daily lives, every moment God speaks and gives clues. He taught us how to pray so we can focus our eyes to Him. To often we are so busy with our daily lives that we forget to pray. Life is too short to live such a busy life. We should be enjoying our life like it is our last day on earth.

Finally, I do believe that God is a God of heart and full of compassion. When He gets angry, it is simply a fatherly love similar to our parents. I don't believe that God punishes people. We all suffer the consequences for every poor choices that we make.

You probably are not questioning God, but questioning the text that claims to be from God-And that's okay!!!!
If God spoke to you, an dyou questioned it, i'd say that's a bit different. I do not question what I hear from God using my own experiences with my own spirituality.
I'm not Christian or any religion, so my views are different than others.

I think the best answer to that is from an animated movie of the story of Noah & the Ark.

Noah's son comes to him and asks, "So, we should not question God?"

Noah replies, "Yes! Ask, Question, Beg, Plead, and Scream as I have done. But OBEY when the answer is clear."

sweetie - nobody is questioning God. They are questioning the humans that claim to speak for God. Clergy, authors of scripture, televangelists, Presidents, judges, senators, etc.

The scripture says that He will not be tempted, tested, or tried; It doesn't say you can't ask a question. Just ask your question in a way that won't bring an answer of judgement but of knowledge.
