he was diagnosed with a blood disease last night, and has gone through two surgerys in less than 24 hours. The docs. have to do a pressure test thing on his arm? Idk where they cut it open or something, and since he has really really low platelet count, he said theres a 60/50 chance that if they do it he can bleed to death, and if they don't do it he'll lose his arm. Please pray for my brother, he's only 15 and i can't even go to the hospital, i can't stand the sight.
thanks all <3

Someone in my family is making their confirmation this year. They need to fill out a form on a Saint of their choice. They chose St. Gabriel the Archangel.

1. Where and when was st. gabriel born and how long did he live?

2. What are some specific qualities in St. Gabriel?

3. What have you learned specifically about being a disciple of Christ from this saint? (in other words, what can the person learn?)

thankful for all help, this thing is due on tuesday.

My ex boyfriend's father just died. We did not end our relationship on speaking terms. Is it appropriate to send a sympathy card? I knew his dad and he was always very nice to me.

I will post something straight out of the Official Mormon Doctrine book...

"Negroes have the mark of Cain and black skin as a sign of rebellion against God. The message of salvation is not carried affirmatively to them. Negroes are not equal with other races."

It is official Mormon Doctrine...I didn't make this up.

I left the Roman Catholic faith when I was 16 when I realized this wasn't the life for me. Since leaving I am now happy as ever. One of the main reasons why I left is because my sexual identity is not accepted in the church and I hated feeling inferior. The church wasn't so accepting towards the BDSM lifestyle and since I left and met with the open community I feel 100% better about myself and not feeling shame anymore.

Just last week I went to my local BDSM club in the city and who do I see there, one of the people I used to see in the parish at my old church. He didn't recognize me because it's been a while since I saw him there but I couldn't believe it.

So this brings upon the question, are people really as "holy" and religious as they appear to be behind closed doors and in their personal lives? It seems to me that human sexual needs and desires are out there and everyone will seek and find them in some form

so i have a problem.... people have told me (kindly) that I should think about the way I say things to people. i think they mean this in a way that sometimes what I say sounds more blunt, harsh or rude than it should. I've never really noticed this but I would say that sometimes I do have a know bullshit approach to things (which isn't a bad thing) and I can be highly strung (which is a bad thing). I am a junior in my office and sometimes I worry that what I say to more senior members of staff looks rude when I really don't mean it to be. I am also of the opinion that within the workplace it is not your position on the career ladder that earns you respect but simply how much respect you have for others, but I don't think this comes across in the way I speak to people and I always considered myself as very polite- and have been told I am.

Please could you give me some tips on communicating as I don't want to let myself down in anyway.

Thank you!

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' aide: "Moses My servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them-to the Israelites. - Joshua 1:1-2

A rocket launch is truly an amazing phenomenon to me. Tons of weight is stacked vertically to the sky with thousands of gallons of fuel exploding in a matter of moments. Soon the rocket drops its take-off boosters and uses additional boosters to move the rocket to the next stage of the mission. The first engines have a unique purpose...to get the rocket to the next stage.

Joshua was known for almost 40 years as "Joshua, servant of Moses." God's preparation for him required years of selfless service, training in the desert, and tests of faith. Those preparation years were booster rockets designed to move Joshua into each new stage of his development and his ultimate calling.

Ok, this is the only time you all will listen to my prattle, so I must make this a question. It is just now beginning the 2nd rainstorm of the season. All is grey
outside from the ground to the sky.
We will have about 1 storm per week
until next Mar/April. Use your brains.
What's the best use of my time during
this winter? No crafts, I don't have the
patience.

I went to a Free Methodist funeral yesterday. The minister talked about the deceased NOW being with the Lord in heaven. Is this right? I thought everyone is in a holding pattern until the Second Coming and final judgment. Do Christians get a "Fast Pass" and get to jump that step? Scriptural references would be a bonus.

Please can i get a general consencus on this? I am a 20-something female who has a handful of close male friends. They are no more than friends - it's all completely platonic. My friends tend to be mostly male. I am outgoing and very social and a bit of a tomboy.

If on a night out or visiting them (as they may live a distance away), it is more convenient to stay over at their house, they will offer me a bed for the night. Sometimes, I may have to share a room with them as they don't have any spare guest rooms. However, I will always be in my own bed and they will be in theirs.

Is this generally deemed as acceptable? Only I have been told that it would be OK as long as I was in a separate room. I have been told that it is totally not acceptable to sleep in the same room, even if it's in a separate bed and happens very occasionally.

I have been doing this my whole life and now this has completely upset me as I can't see what I am doing wrong.

Please help. x

I don"t believe any gods were responsible but when you think about it it"s so precise. The way the planets are in perfect synchronisation.

It seems too much of a coincidence that it was a big bang and everything fell in place as it is.
