I left the Roman Catholic faith when I was 16 when I realized this wasn't the life for me. Since leaving I am now happy as ever. One of the main reasons why I left is because my sexual identity is not accepted in the church and I hated feeling inferior. The church wasn't so accepting towards the BDSM lifestyle and since I left and met with the open community I feel 100% better about myself and not feeling shame anymore.

Just last week I went to my local BDSM club in the city and who do I see there, one of the people I used to see in the parish at my old church. He didn't recognize me because it's been a while since I saw him there but I couldn't believe it.

So this brings upon the question, are people really as "holy" and religious as they appear to be behind closed doors and in their personal lives? It seems to me that human sexual needs and desires are out there and everyone will seek and find them in some form or another; no matter what your so-called faith preaches.

I think it's a big "Don't Ask Don't Tell" kind of thing in these more religious societies. Very few people actually believe, but they all profess to believe because they all think everyone else believes, when really they don't.

We all have something in our life that we deal with and need to be set free. Seeking God for deliverance in those areas is necessary to become free. Some people want to stay in sin and are not wanting to get out. Sin feels good for a season, but sooner or later it will destroy a person. This is why some leave the church, because the church preaches against sin. But becasue of what Jesus did on the cross we can be forgiven and live a sin free life.

Some people know how to control their sexual urges. There is more to this life then sex. If thats all people live for I feel sorry for them and Yes I am 100% faithful to God all the time.

Our sexuality is a wonderful gift and God doesn't condemn married people for exploring it with each other. BDSM included, dear one.

So the answer to your question is: I am a Christian 100% of the time, including behind closed doors with my husband. ;-)

Email me if you'd like a more in-depth reply. ;-)

God bless you!

You left because your attachment to your sexual desires were stronger than your need for God, stop blaming the church for your lack of commitment to the law of God,it was your choice and you have to live with it.
