I can't throw away books. I like to read too much. All have some form of value. I sell books and I give them away, but I never throw one away unless it has fallen apart. Usually, if I like the book, I repair it or try to buy another one on eBay. Then, I throw away the old beaten up book.

Reading has been my favorite activity since I learned to read. I rarely throw away any books; it's like dumping a close friend.
I even still have the first (and only) bible I ever bought, and I bought it close to forty years ago, while I still accepted some of the Christian beliefs.
Even though I have long-since recovered from Christianity, I recognize there is a lot of Truth in the bible, and still read it occasionally.

Throw.....a.... BOOK .....away? You mean like.....in the trash??? It would be like throwing out a child. I can't even imagine.
Maybe I would GIVE away a book to someone, or to a library or something, but throw away a book?? Never, not in a million years.

The thought of throwing any book away makes me shudder but if I had to pick one it would be my college calculus book... I still have nightmares from last semester.

If you are speaking of the Bible, none. It says in the bible, do not add nor take away from it. Regarding books in general, I never throw any away. I give them away and share the knowledge. I never read anything unless it is going to teach me something. God bless****

I have always been told that you should never throw away a book. Give it away, donate it, but if it is readable to never throw it.
All said though, last I threw away was a Stephen King, which was totally messed up with coffee.

Honestly, if it is a book I don't like enough to throw away, I wouldn't likely have it in the first place. But I would say first and foremost Porn, especially anything Child Porn.

I had to throw out a wrinkle in time. It has been read so much the pages were falling out. Great book, fun to read with kids.
