Are these beliefs passed down, influences of our parents. Are the people around me races against blacks? I am not black. I have friends of all ethnicities, religions. Who could she be talking about? I don't see them doing anything racist, but she feels it.

Proof of God's existence:

1)Discoveries in astronomy have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the universe did, in fact, have a beginning. There was a single moment of creation.

2)Biochemists and mathematicians have calculated the odds against life arising from non-life naturally via unintelligent processes. The odds are astronomical. In fact, scientists aren't even sure if life could have evolved naturally via unintelligent processes. If life did not arise by chance, how did it arise?

3)The universe is ordered by natural laws. Where did these laws come from and what purpose do they serve?

4)Philosophers agree that a transcendent Law Giver is the only plausible explanation for an objective moral standard. So, ask yourself if you believe in right and wrong and then ask yourself why. Who gave you your conscience? Why does it exist?

5)And then there's the obvious: The bible is God's word. Enough said.


I am expecting lots of repenting atheists now.

Well I use to be I guess and always suspected my brother to be for various reasons. I am not asexual, and pretty sure of that. This one neighbor has a brother that is gay and I was wondering what are the odds he is? I was just wondering, I heard the older brothers, the more likely you are to be gay.

I recently found out via a extensive geneology, that on my fathers side I am related to Jesse James(Great Uncle). Turns out that my fathers grandfather was Frank James. After I found out, I ask my dad and he is 79 now. He told me that my grandfather never talked about his dad. I ask him why and he said he just never did! I wondered after are conversation, if my dad really was not told because of WHO is grandfather was(Frank James). That leads to my question.. Who have you found out was famous, in a good or bad way in you're family tree?

I know it is bad for my spirituality to be addicted to anything. Please notice I used the word "Spirituality" before reporting this question. I can quit doing anything, but this cigarette thing has got me, well, dangit, just dangit. It is soo expensive here in AZ to smoke, a pack of Marlboros costs about six bucks. Heck, with that kind of money , I could buy a Chevrolet and drive to church on Sunday, or open a science lab and "prove" the nonexistence of God. Whichever way you lean. But, whichever way you lean, I would like to know how in tarnations did you stop smoking. Every time I try to quit, I want to rip my hair out.
IDEAS?

(of any religion) not even take the time to read thouroughly about other belief systems, and look for similarities between them? why write everything off before truly examining other teachings. what is the harm in doing some research? is following blindly next to Godliness?

Atheists say God doesn't exist because they don't want Him to exist! If they admitted that God exists they would have to own up to their sinfulness. They've already decided ahead of time that they don't want God to exist, so every time they try to "disprove" God, they are just begging the question. If they weren't so closed minded, they would be able to see that God does indeed exist.

Hi there, friends :) (You all know who you are.)

I've found that it's time to quit this forum; too many negative changes lately, plus I've been using it as a distraction to avoid dealing with a certain issue. But before I go, I wanted to post a 'goodbye' message and include my thanks to all from whom I've learned so much - there are so many that I'd never finish sending personal messages. And to those who have given me many laughs which brightened lots of my days immensely. I've had a wonderful time here, and I'll miss you all very much. My 360 page will remain so that we can stay in touch, but I also wanted to send some big (((hugs))) to those who don't use 360 and who don't allow email. i was told to change costumes and go to the same houses twice but what if they notice its the same person. im trying to get more than my personal best (231 peices) and i did the math if i do 5 by 5 blocks factoring in if 8 people on the block are not home and they only give out 1 peice of candy (wich in my neighborhood they give out like 5 pieces) than i will get more than 375 peices but im trying to beat this girl who always gets like1000 pieces. Dont worry i donate all my candy so i dont get fat, i just think its realy fun to trick or treat) how do i get more?

I heard someone argue why it's better to be Christian. He that that if he was wrong and God did not exist, then he has lost nothing. He said that if us atheists are wrong, we go to Hell. He was trying to imply that there is a possible negative to being an atheist but no negative to being a Christian. What about not being allowed to live your life to fullest. Many Christians I know WILL NOT do certain things because they believe God will punish them. My best friend is a Christian and will not drink, will not have sex untill he is married, and ae also refuses to play video games because he says they are ungodly. It would seem to me that Christians like my friend are missing out on a lot of things in life because of their beliefs. If us atheists are right, and you Christians are wrong, we will be the ones who benefit because we will have lived our lives to the fullest while you Christians did not.

Twice I have predicted parts of the future when bad things have happened or nearly happened in my family, when I was younger I saw spirits but cried and used to ask them to leave me alone which they did until I was 15 when I started hearing them call my name and see certain things. I'm 20 now and feel I need to enhance and learn to control my ability I don't see them much only hear or see them at the corner of my eye, also I feel I can feel peoples emotions and sometimes find it hard to shut off from their emotions, how can I shut off from their emotions at times and enhance my ability.

I just started (3 mths) as a mid-level manager. There is drama between my boss and my subordinate. I think it's a personal issue because I don't see anything bad about the subordinates work product or performance. In fact, I find him a very efficient and dedicated employee. I am witnessing my boss do things to sabotage the subordinate and I don't think its fair. Any suggestions on how I should handle this situation? Should I say something to the boss? The subordinate? If my boss is treating the subordinate like this, I can't imagine how I would be treated if I tried to stop my boss' unfairness toward the subordinate. Touchy situation here but need some advice please.
