I understand free speech, but it really gets on my nerves when people make posters saying God hates gays/lesbians.

When will people get it into their head that God doesn't hate anyone, He hates sin, not the people who sin. Otherwise we'd all be in trouble.

I am a lapsed catholic,i have 2 young children who attend the local catholic primary school,i am not married to my childrens father and dont intend getting married,we are still very happy together and were together long before the kids came along.I,ll admit i got the kids baptised to get them in the school as its a good one,anyway to cut a long story short ive read a book and i feel i want to start going to mass again.

I will not go to confession either,and dont agree with some of the rules of catholism ,but think as the children are at the school i should really go to that particular church.

my question is do you think i will be accepted into the church,or do you think that if i cant live my life completley by the catholic guidelines i shouldn,t be allowed back in?

I want to know what you think as i am quite nervous about asking the priest.Thanks in advance

First and foremost if you're here only to preach that God isn't real and that I'm wasting my time...fine, I won't let it bother me.

Second...I'm Mormon(well I will be on the 11th).

I, for reasons I do not wish to discuss in public, believe it is my right place to go on a mission. I know I have to wait a year(to get my melchizedek priesthood and my temple recommend and stuff like that)...

But if you've ever gone on a mission, or your brother or sister has, or a friend, do you have any advice for me? Like...should I study my scriptures a lot more(OBVIOUSLY), are there any books I should read(besides the scriptures) to get myself ready, should I start running on a tredmill to get my endurance built up...or the cycling machine?

Anything is welcome....thanks.

We are athiests interested in volunteering locally in order to fulfill the moral obligation of a human being to give to the community at large - to give to those less fortunate. We are not willing to pray before we hammer a nail, we are not willing to proselytize during our work, we do not want an organization that depends entirely on religious donations. Aren't there any organizations out there for those that cannot buy in to the religious Right?? Suggestions?

I am a Muslim who has read the three holy books and now I want to convert to Judaism because that is where I believe the truth is, in the Torah...... I cant explain it, it just feels right.

As we all know a primary cause of atheism is a guilty conscience - the inability to reconcile one's behavior with a holy and righteous GOD who grants mercy but demands justice.

Since personally the most rabid, hard-core, obnoxious atheist I ever knew was a male prostitute - someone who sold his body for sex to complete strangers - I was wondering about the rest of you atheists.

What is it you feel guilty about? What is that one sin you can't give up? What are you doing that makes you so ashamed and embarrassed, that you can't even admit there is a GOD and that you are always in HIS holy presence?

How many of you will have the courage to honestly examine yourselves and answer this question?
