I understand free speech, but it really gets on my nerves when people make posters saying God hates gays/lesbians.
When will people get it into their head that God doesn't hate anyone, He hates sin, not the people who sin. Otherwise we'd all be in trouble.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is none that is righteous, not even one."
(righteous meaning free from guilt or sin)
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Just for the record, I am a Christ follower. I do not hate gays or lesbians. I do not hate anyone.
Yes, God hates lying. I never said He didn't. The fact of the matter is, we all need a savior. Even the 'Holier than thou' Christians. (It's because of these people that I call myself a Christ follower!)

I do not live by the laws in Levitcus... they are part of the 'old covenant' that God made with the Jews. If you read Hebrews you'll find that Jesus erased all of that - He was the sacrifice for all eternity. We don't need to worry about all of those little details.
BTW, when was the last time you ate pork? Leviticus 11:7 tells us that is is unfit to eat :)

Again - I do not believe that being gay is OK... I just want to hear from the people who say that God hates Gay people. I want to know where they base their assumptions from.
I never said the 10 commandments were bogus. I said that the laws that were given in the book of Leviticus do not apply any longer. The early Jews had no law by which to live by, so God appointed Moses to speak for Him. I don't have space to explain it all here, but if you research Leviticus, you will find that their were reasons back then for the laws that were given!

It doesn't!
God is perfect love. He can not hate!
We, as humans have put Him in a box to fit our perception of what we want Him to be.

hi, For each and all of the gays right here that decide to place words in God's mouth, i could be careful approximately that. He does in fact love anybody, and easily to set the record right this moment {no pun meant} he hates all sin alongside with sexual sin of all varieties, so do no longer think of he's singled you out. The Bible does state that he thinks gay sin is an abomination in his sight. the undeniable fact that he despatched Jesus to die for that sin is the affection Scripture speaks of. it is your option to alter and turn from that sin. returned that's Scriptural.... like it or no longer, that's what Scripture states. that is comparable to a father that has a son it somewhat is a under the impact of alcohol. the daddy would love the son deeply, yet hates the undeniable fact that his son is a drunkard. so which you notice you haven't any longer been singled out. Sexual sins are nevertheless sin and would desire to be dealt with on a private point. Thank God he loves us adequate to care, and set the issue right this moment.

so since the 10 commandments are in the old testament you should ignore them because they are old rules? i hear so many christians say that. oh yea the pork rule was in the old testament we dont need that these days. very sad it is your religious book, you cant pick and choose what you want to follow out of it. i converted to islam 2 years ago. and the pork rule still applies even into the quran. as far as gay goes why would God send lot to correct the ways of the people who had become gay? it was not the way God meant for people to be. people say they are born gay. noone is born gay, they choose to be that way, because no human is meant to be gay but is meant to be married and procreate with a person of the opposite sex. as you might remember the people of lot God rained uopn them stones killing them all for their homosexual ways that they refused to give up for the straight path. God does not hate the gays he hates their ways and choices that they have made. if you notice also look at any gay couple lesbian or otherwise. there is always one who is manly and one who is more feminine. hardly ever do you have 2 feminie or 2 manly. i say this all the time, if they are going to be a lesbian and then go look for a butch women who resembles and acts like a man , why dont you just go be with a man. ? but people choose these things. and most churches actually allow it even though it is forbidden n the bible, but again people pick and choose what rules they want to follow.

The book of Leviticus. Contains all the laws n stuff that the Isrealites had to follow, including clean and unclean food, what to do after a person has sinned, and need s to cleanse himself of a sin, how many animals to sacrifices cause of that sin, what a woman is to do during and after her period, and laws on who a man or woman can or cannot have sex with or marry. Lots of interesting laws in there. I highly recommend that you read it just to read it. *shrugs*.

the story of sodom and gomorrah is found in genesis ch19 v1-29. of course god hates the sin and not the sinner but the sin is what is making the person live that lifestyle. so all we can do is pray that the person sees the truth before it is to late

There's a clinic in Trinidad, CO, where gays can change sexes. Then they'll no longer be covered under the Leviticus statutes and God won't hate them anymore.

Lev 18:22 You shall not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is abomination to God.
Lev 20:13 If a man also lies with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be on them.
This is not saying that He hates the people, but the penalty for the sin was quite clear.

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10
"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28
Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage

Can't you understand by the actions of God. Prophet Lut in Quran and (Laat) in Bible preached people of his city for years. High Majority of them were homosexuals. Prophet Lut said to God, I am fed up with these people. O God kill them all. God sent two Angels in disguise of very very handsome young men. The entire city followed them to the house of Prophet Lut and said to him to hand over his guests
the Angels to them to srew them. In the middle of town., Angles told Prophet to take your family and run from the city, because soon we will destroy this city and every one living here. And they really did destroy it by earth quake and by rocks falling on the entire city from skies.
This story is written in Torah, Bible and Quran. It does not matter whether it is written in the words you want to see but action of God speaks for itself in the story written in Bible and other Divine Books also.

Completely agree. God does hate sin but loves the sinner, that's why Jesus died for us, to give us a chance. We have all sinned but as 1 John says if we do, we have an advocate and I am VERY thankful for that. Be blessed.
