You're talking about "Chaste" living. Chastity. This is not the same as the old "Purity" Laws.
To live a righteous Christian "Chaste" life....one either remains celibate if single or faithful to one partner within a proper sacramental marriage between one man and one woman. Nothing else, by these guidelines, is permitted.
The ritual purity laws are found in Leviticus 13-15 in the Bible. It addresses diseases and discharges that cause contamination such as: leprosy, seminal discharge, discharge of blood, the Niddah[1], and contact with corpses. All of these impurities are alike for one reason: people with these impurities were ostracized from the towns and from the holy temple.

Purity Pledge means abstinance from 'all' sexual activity.
Once you start down the slippery slope, it's very hard to stop.

I would take it to mean no sex but really it's all up to your veiw and what you think of as wrong in the context.

it means that u can hav sex ONLY if u r married if u wish to follow the purity.
u can also call that being a vergin if u don't hav sex outside marriage.
