so, how about Evangelists who claim to preach God's words using the Bible? are you sure they are still preaching God's words or they are preaching their own mere fallable interpretation of it?

And when someone at school said they would send ghosts to haunt me, does that work too. I lived my school life in fear these satanic kids said they had sent all these ghosts to come and haunt me.
I was immature then and did the same to them. Then they said these green things came and haunted them. I was teased senseless at school and am still recovering.

I just want to know cause they said curses were placed on me too and my life has had a lot of down moments. I think it will get better and it gets worse.

When will things start going well for me?

There are contradictions. Some think it's symbolic, while others take every word literally. Science and the Bible clash on major issues. There are various translations and, in some religions, even new translations that try to fit more current circumstances. Different versions contradict each other. When I read the bible, I can appreciate the writing, but I can't get past the fact that it was written by men with conflicting memories of Jesus. I know, for instance, that history can be changed in an instant with pen and ink. What have you been told that makes you believe without proof?

Take the Ten Commandments.

I am the Lord your God.... you shall have no other Gods before me.

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,

I mean this suggests to me that there are other Gods. God even admits that he is jealous of them. He wants to be number one on the block.

Does this therefore suggest that Buddhists, and Hindus and other religions worship real Gods too?

I was not busy cause my work was slack and nothing to do. I caught myself day dreaming about something. I do not know whether I was speaking out loud or not. I understand chistians stand on pornography because it causes lust which is a sin but I am unsure on what to know about Nudists. I am christian and my GF is also. I should really ask my husband this who has his BA in Philosophy , but hes sleeping and it just popped in mah head! So did the Greeks really believe in thier gods as actual beings? Did they follow sacrifices/rituals/etc? Ive read some Plato and it all seems pretty humanistic to me, any help is appreciated!

I just wanted to say that of all the non-Abrahamic believers who come on here, I have noticed that the Pagans are usually the nicest and least abusive. You don't seem to have a need to bash us or bait us. I just wanted to say that it is very appreciated, by me at least.

For as long as the debate has gone on there have been those cynics, mainly capitalists with an agenda, who, it is said, pay tame scientists to spread disinformation as to the reasons for extreme weather patterns. These people claim that the vaguaries in the weather patterns is down to natural events i.e. an ice age coming or going.

If they are wrong the rest of us, who are not empowered, and who are mildly panicking for our childrens sake, and who are probably in the majority, will be wiped out, If we are wrong then nothing happens.

There are developing countries where the populations are not being told about climate change for political reasons, but the US is not one of them, instead the propogandists spin their lies and mock, backed up by the religious right who tell their congregations that god is on their side and there is no arguing with a believer especially if it means that their jobs are at stake.

Do our children have any chance of surviving?
