Any suggestions or comments? Is it nice or ok?

If you are not a Christian then you are going to name urself a English name (Christian name is given by the chruch upon your conversion into christinarity.)
Adel is a female name.
The following are guy's name =>
How about Adriel? Sounds similar and it is a boy's name.
Meaning is followers of God in Hedrew.
Abel - Meaning Breath in Hebrew
Aedán/Aidan/Aiden - Meaning Little fire in Gaelic
Alden - Meaning old friend in old English
If not create your own unique name like me.
I like "Jan" as in Janurary and "lyn" as in beautiful in french and my English name is Janlyn.
If not have a funky name (common trend in Singapore) like Trice or Ice or Tech.

Christian names are normally derived from the Bible or Scriptures. Common Christian names would include Mary, Elizabeth, Magdalene, Sara, Peter, Paul, Abraham, Thomas, Joshua, etc. English names would include Maryanne, Susan, William, Steven, etc. Adel sounds English or a derivative of an English sounding name. If your name is a given name at birth, tough luck you got to live with it. Adel is your choice and I am sure it must have been chosen from a host of other names that came to mind and it was the best choice. You have not mentioned your Chinese name thus I would not know whether Adel would gel with it. I knew a few girls who modified their Chinese names to make it sound English - Tan Loo See to Lucy Tan; Lee Mei Li to Mary Lee; Chen Ru Bien to Ruben Chen, etc.

I had a student from Yemen whose name was/is Adel. It's also a popular girl's name in French, but for a girl it would be spelled Adele.
Any name that IS a name is fine w me. I just hate it when my students choose names like Salad or Rainbow. . .!

It's a very nice name.
I've noticed that many Asians adopt Western names in addition to their own. We are currently hosting a girl from Hong Kong who goes by "Karen." (Chinese name is Kwan Ling) Last year there was a Korean girl whose name was Seung Ah, who went by "Sarah."
I love the Asian names, but if you want Western names along with them they are a nice option.

Adel is a nice name but not Christian nor English; according to--
http://www.behindthename.com/name/adel
Adel stems from Arabic--عاد٠(Arabic)
Variant transcription of ADIL --Means "fair, honest, just" from Arabic عد٠('adala) "to act justly".
I hope it helps.
