how much Bible study had you already done? Would you say you were a:

1) Bible novice;
2) a beginner;
3) that you had moderate knowledge of the Scriptures;
4) or would you say you had expert knowledge of the Scriptures?

Did you participate in any FORMAL study, under the guidance of an ordained minister or Bible scholar? If so, how long did you FORMALLY study the Bible before you studied with the JWs?

I just moved into a small neighborhood of duplex apartments. A single mom with two children befriended me as we have children the same age. I introduced her to my boyfriend one day while he was visiting. Now, she calls him on his cell phone all the time. He does not answer nor does he return her calls. My boyfriend and I have discussed the situation. He is not interested in pursuing any kind of relationship with her. I believe him. She is severely obese, and I have watched them interact. He doesn't do anything that a female would consider encouragement. Yet, I must live next to this person at least for 11 more months. How do I handle the situation? Should I ignore it, or confront it?

Isaiah 59:16 says, He saw that there was NO MAN, And wondered that there was no intercessor; THEREFORE HIS OWN ARM BROUGHT SALVATION FOR HIM......"

Psalms 98:1 says, His RIGHT HAND AND HOLY ARM HAVE GAINED HIM THE VICTORY."

Isaiah 51:5 says, "And My ARMS will Judge the people; The coastlands will wait upon Me, And on my ARM they will trust.

Will Jesus Judge? Are we to truth in Jesus?

Psalms 118:16 says, The right hand of the LORD is EXALTED; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly. Was Jesus exalted?

Isaiah 48:13 says, "AND MY RIGHT HAND HAS STRETCHED OUT THE HEAVENS."

Without Him (Jesus) nothing was made that which was made.

Isaiah 66:2 says, "FOR ALL THOSE THINGS MY HAND HAS MADE......"

SO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED? WHEN WILL THE GLORY OF JESUS BE REVEALED?

Can God swear by anyone Greater than Himself? No. Isaiah 62:8 says, The LORD has sworn by HIS RIGHT HAND AND BY THE ARM OF HIS STRENGTH.

PERHAPS JESUS IS JUST GOD!

The rest of us do right simply because it is right, no "eternal damnation" necessary. The only reason I can see that anyone would say such a thing, is that they speak from their own feelings. Is religion the only thing keeping these people from going postal?

Hi i have a question I have started to tithe, but i am confused... first f all when you tithe are you ONLy supposed to give the money to a church? i ask this because everytime i give to someone in need i deduct it form the tithing amount, is this a correct way to tithe?

My sister in law that is a christian tells me that I can only tithe to a church , that i can help other but it does not count as tithing, it only counts as a good deed.

Please enlighten me on this since i want to make sure i am tithing the correct way, are there scriptures that say that all tithing must ONLY go to churches? I am just not sure if I should just give all my tithing to church, and then give additional for good deeds because i wouldnt be able to afford it .

I believe in heaven and hell,,,but do you think that we will go there right after we die or we will be in limbo or rest until the JUDGEMENT day when ALL will be judged ...Our creed says..."I will come again to judge the living and the dead.."if we already are dead than how can we be judged again than unless we weren't already after we died??? Gets me thinking cuz I thought we went soon after we die...

What the f--k is that supposed to mean? Too deep? How can you go too deep?

It's almost as though I have to apologize to people for thinking about something other than cars or sex or sports. Don't get me wrong. There are plenty of times when I do think about sex or sports (I never think about cars. They don't interest me beyond getting me where I need to be.) but that's not all I think about.

How can a person not want to think about life, the universe, where we come from, where we are going, and how it all happened? I actually enjoy thinking about these things. It intrigues me. It fascinates me. It enthralls me.

Why don't more people feel the way I do?

I am trying to get back into the church. We were married outside of the church, and now that we are married, I feel like I need to get back in touch with God to apologize for being married outside of the church. I also want to raise our children catholic, but he is more of a "practical athiest" where he gets into God for a while, but he never really commits. He agreed to raise the children Catholic (i'm not pregnant yet), but I'm afraid he won't ever fully accept a Catholic life. How do I get him to be interested in Catholicism? He is very liberal and he has this constant thought that all priests are molestors and that the Catholic doctorine is bad for women... what can I do?

Since many fundamentalists tend to idealize the "early church", I'm curious as to how they think the Gospel was preached and the faith spread in those days, and how that contrasts with some of today's approaches.

Were the early evangelists contemptuous of others' beliefs, pronouncing them unsaved and hell-bound, or did they present and live out the Gospel in love for all created in the image of God?

Was a Jesus-and-me faith resulting from a personal born-again moment of greater importance than all believers being the body of Christ?

Was "soul-winning" in large numbers their main preoccupation, or discipling believers?

What was it about them, personally, that made what they had to offer -- the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- irresistable to so many (as evidenced by how quickly Christianity spread), though they had no complete New Testament to carry around and quote from? And does anyone exemplify that today?

Didn't you want to know the REAL reason why they were giving you an order, or forbidding you from doing something, rather than their simple reply of "because I said so?"

I don't know about you, but that used to drive me nuts.

Was it right of my mother to use that as a reason so often?
