Let me see, "Israel!" (*looks around to see if anything happens*)

Yeah. No one has called me antisemitic yet!

Now let's see:
Psalm 148:14
He has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his saints, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the LORD.

(*looks around to see if anything happens*)

Nope! No one is saying anything! You're safe.

A lot of old-fashioned anti-Semitism hides itself in criticism of Israel's military actions.

Israel is in a no-win situation. The Arab governments have repeatedly demonstrated that they will do ANYTHING -- including using their Palestinian kindred as pawns -- to undermine and destroy the state of Israel. If Israel stands up to it, they're criticized mercilessly. If they don't, the attacks increase. And whenever the government and military get it wrong, the criticisms are even worse.

What other country has to justify its very existence on a daily basis?

Why can't we debate Israeli actions the same way we discuss everyone else's? Why are we so quick to assume that Israelis are in the wrong? I am TERRIFIED at the increase in anti-Semitic words and actions, and most especially by how many well-intentioned people get caught up in it.

Use the word Israel. But consider what you're saying and how you're phrasing it. And always, please, find out where your information is coming from before you repeat it to someone else.

Israel is the name of a country. I see nothing wrong with writing or say the word. The news reporters do it all the time. It depends on the context as to whether it is antisemitic or not.

Well, of course it is, how would you explain to people where you live, if you are Israeli?
