Atheism requires nothing. Why follow any laws? You could rape, murder, steal and whatever else you want. No consequences for the afterlife. Christianity requires love of God and all of his commandments. Anybody can lie, cheat, and steal. It's not hard. But to be a Christian and follow God's commandments takes more discipline than anything else. We get ridiculed all the time. Yet we stand firm in our belief. Think of that next time you label Christians as weak minded. By the way, I will pray for every person that gives me a hatefull or rude remark. So, I hope that I get a bunch.

I am not a Christian, and I don't accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Am I going to hell?

If so, how long will I be there? I hope not for eternity.

like the US does? He was asked about executing homosexuals, and others, over 200 so far this year, and many in public which is a no no according to the human rights treaty they signed. Did that make you distrust his nation even more or did you accept it?

Has this ever happened? My guess is no, Jehovah's Witnesses would not be able to convince any reasonably educated (i.e. M. Div.), mainstream Christian clergyperson of the "Truth" of Jehovah's Witness theology.

Surprise me.

I went on a 3 week vacation. I was friendly with my neighbors. I did tell them that I was going to be away for 3 weeks, as a courtesy and also possibly to have an eye on the property.

When I came back, the water and the electricity bills were more than three times the normal ! Would you suspect these neighbors or are there any other possiblities ? This is supposed to be a good neighborhood, $400,000 homes on either side.

What do you think ?

I have been reading a lot about Roman Catholics and am shocked by some of their beliefs. They believe that the Bible is not the only absolute truth. They believe that their traditions/beliefs that aren't even in the Bible are infallible.
They believe that during the Lord's supper, the priest invokes the spirit of Christ and the bread actually becomes flesh and the wine becomes blood. Many people have never heard of this!
They believe that Mary was without sin. There was only one person who ever lived that was without sin..jesus.
The Roman Catholic church is becoming more of a Universalist church - believing that all "good" people can go to heaven; Buddhist, Islamic, Hindu, etc.
These are all things that I have read many different places...quotes from priests, catholic websites, books, etc...
Just wondering what others thought.

After reading the bible, especially the 4 gospels, I have concluded that Jesus is as the bible says he is. Many people say that Jesus is God. But the bible says that Jesus is the son of God. So who should I believe? Well. I would be a fool to listen to those who say things that oppose what the bible says. It is clear. If someone came to you and said...Oh Adams name really was not Adam. It is Jason. who would you believe? The bible also mentions other sons. which mean other angels. Genesis 6:1,4 and Job 1:6 and 2:1. If you believe that Jesus is God then you might as well start calling Adam, Jason. I have read the scriptures that Trinitarian say that prove Jesus is God. But if they really say Jesus is God, then the bible contradicts itself.

It seems to me that religious people are not as smart as athiests. For instance, athiests (and skeptics in general) usually require a high threshold evidence for their scientific "beliefs". Therefore, aren't athiests/skeptics smarter than religious people?
