". . . and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there: and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name."

There are no gates to those of the christian faith. Some do believe though, Gabriel is the angel is charge of the Pearly gates you speak of but that is just a Catholic story.

From the "beginning" it has been TAUGHT in my faith that there are "mansions" in the house of the Lord, and Jesus mentioned this when he was on earth. Osiris is the keeper of the "first" gate and all the worthy priests become the keepers of other gates in heaven where persons go according to their worthiness. Thoth is the God who weighs that worthiness and ALSO gets rid of those who are unworthy.

In the papyrus of Nebseni, who was a priest of the 18th dynasty of Egypt's New Kingdom (13th century b.c.) he writes;
"And there in the celestial mansions of heaven which my divine Father has established, let my hands lay hold upon the wheat and the barley which shall be given unto me in abundant measure and may the Son of my (own) body make ready for me my food therein."

Christ is the gatekeeper. He is the one who allows people to "enter in by the gate" and the gate is baptism and repentance. Only through His Atonement can we repent and only throughHis authority can we be baptized, et cetera...

Is there a "gatekeeper" and is there a "keymaster"? I don't remember reading in the Bible that there is a gatekeeper. In any case, once we're all judged, only those found worthy may enter. So you can't go in anyway - even if you think the gate is left unattended. katiefish <><

The angels of Allah are the keepers of the gate.
Jesus is resting inside under a tree like a cat sleeping at your feet. He cannot hear anything, there is a barrier and the keepers of the gate are discribed perfectly.
