Yes, my friend lived by our tiny hometown cemetery and in the fall when it was super spooky and filled with spider webs and fallen leaves, we'd play hide and seek. Her older brother (by one year) was so cute and cool and he really liked me. Couldn't wait for him to catch me. Things were so much more innocent then. It was exciting fun and we never thought of it as disrespectful. Things are so different now. (Poor kids)

On Halloween? Not on your life! But twice I did brave it during
the daytime, while my parents were visiting with an aunt and
uncle on a couple of Sunday afternoons. I took my girlfriend
along, and we thought we'd wander down to the end of the
street where an old cemetary was. Thinking it would be fun to
check out dates and funny names. The first visit was Ok and
we spent some time there. But the following time we went,
they were letting off gasses from the graves and there were
'swooshing' noises going off all around us. We screamed
thinking it was spirits or ghosts. And we ran out of there so
fast feeling our hair must have been standing on end in
fright. That was the last time, I went to a cemetary to have
some fun LOL. I must have been about 12 at the time.

Believe it or not, years ago my ex boyfriend and I use to go to the cemetery all the time at night to watch the stars and talk. We never went there to scare any one. I was scared enough just being there. We never went out there on Halloween night though cause other folks went there that night.

No, I never did because I was taught at an early age that a cemetery is hollowed ground & I had respect for those buried there. It's not a playground for those who have nothing better to do, especially on Halloween.

I didn't, but sounds like you know my husband. He said they'd take the girls to the cemetery and tell them scary stories. Guess the guys wanted to get them to 'snuggle' closer for protection. lol
