Then maybe the dialog would be of a more philosophical and intelligent nature. The Christians use this site as a place to proselytize too much anyway. Additionally, they often ask why atheists even come to this site as if it were created for their use exclusively. They really seldom ever make a contribution of any significance. They quote the Bible and suffer from the delusion that they are submitting an airtight response. If they go and take their ignorance with them, I just might be able to grow spiritually rather that argue the obvious with unarmed combatants.

Inevitably, our numbers are growing. Slowly but surely. Respect is all very well and I would savour the opportunity to sit with the deluded and explain to them the folly of their ways in an adult and mature fashion. However, I do not get that opportunity often, This medium will have to suffice.
Respect is given, in that I don't give a toss about who believes in what provided that death and destruction are not daily occurrences fuelled by false beliefs. Provided that false beliefs are not forced upon trusting and impressionable children. Provided that any government of any country is not comprised of the overly-religious, forcing idiotic laws upon its people, particularly upon women.
Once these provisions are transgressed, I get into a position where respect is deleted from my mind.
Atheists being all alone is fine by me but we are hardly alone in that sense, as there are more of us than most people are aware of. There are more of us who are 'closet' atheists than any of us are aware of.
You know it makes sense.

I think some of us in the Christian camp will always remain, but yes... being shouted down all the time is tiring to the more thoughtful and less radicalized religious people.

You'd think if anybody got that, it would be the atheists, who in the general population have a hard time making themselves heard.

I depends on the day and time. I've been on here where question after question is negative towards atheists but there have been other times when the opposite is true.

I don't know about "more," but certainly "more than is in the general population." My theory on this is that the net community has a greater percentage of atheists than is otherwise present in society.

So in your mind anyone who isn't Christian is an atheist? FNORD I resent that. I have always had very strong NON CHRISTIAN beliefs. Fnord Where do you come off with a bigoted small minded statement like that?

As a Christian, believe me I still check in to see what questions are being asked. So many are insulting "jokes" I choose not to respond..

What is the intention of these people and the Jinn that keeps talking to them?

You mean if Christians were to admit ignominious defeat?...and retreat to their churches to practice their primitive nonsense.
