like the US does? He was asked about executing homosexuals, and others, over 200 so far this year, and many in public which is a no no according to the human rights treaty they signed. Did that make you distrust his nation even more or did you accept it?

He's a total idiot and a fool. But we have an idiot and a fool for a president, too.

I do not distrust the Iranian people because they do not live in a democracy where they are able to freely elect their president. Their government is also 'supervised' by the spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

I distrust both Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Ali Khamenei because they are unable to govern in a free society based on ideas instead of fear. His statement that Iran has no homosexuals shows that he is less concerned with reality and more concerned with his own beliefs.

It is good that Ahmadinejad was able to hear jeers and guffaws at Columbia University, because he most likely does not hear them in his home country.

You have to understand the history. The way they got a dictatorship in the first place is by US meddling. The CIA overthrew their pro-American, democratically elected president Mossadeq, and replaced him with a king, known as the Shah of Iran, when Mossadeq nationalized the oilfields. The Iranians were so fed up with the king we installed, that they supported a fascist dictator named the Ayatollah Khomeni, and we are still dealing with the consequences of our crime today. Of course, that didn't stop Reagan from sending weapons to Iran. Did that make you distrust our nation even more or do you accept it?

I've corresponded with lots of gay men in Iran. But mahmoud doesn't need to know that. I hope he left the country.
The Human Rights Treaty is so worthless. I don't trust muslims at all.

I think he came off as either an idiot or a liar. Statistically homosexuals exist in all societies, even ones that don't accept them. I have read some stats that say homosexulaity among males is rampant in Islamic countries due to the strict seperation between the sexes.

I have not seen his speech but will watch it, now. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Hopefully, this will encourage governments everywhere to recognise LGBT people from Iran and others places as legitimate refugees.

It is for the very reason of hearing what he would say that I think it is important to let people like this speak publicly.

Know your enemy, imo.

Cheers :-)

Yes! I had heard what he said, on the ABC News with Charles Gibson. I was a little surprised, and a little socking when i heard that.

Peoples like we're don't have the right on many several countries or almost the whole entire world's.

Are you kidding??? That guy's a wacko! I heard about that on the news today. He must be living in a fantasy world. I wouldn't accept anything he says. He obviously has some issues, honesty being the main one.

That was a dumb thing to say. Every country has homosexual. Even Antartica has gays.
