It would have happened one way or the other.....God's plans are very well thought out, and you see....Judas had a problem with stealing! He let that sin grow, and grow into greed, and all he cared about was the 30 pieces of silver for Jesus's head....But if Judas didn't do it, someone else would have! I believe it to be true, cause Jesus came to earth with one purpose only, and that was to save us and die for us!

If it wasn't Judas, the crucifixion would have happened anyway. That was God's plan and Jesus knew what was coming. From the moment that He started preaching, He was preparing Himself and His disciples for what was to come. Think about it, did Jesus even really need someone to turn Him in? No. People were already against Him, so they probably would have found a reason to arrest Him.

Even Judas was forgiven, but I doubt that Judas could forgive himself for the betrayal and for taking his own life.
It was only a matter of time until the life of Jesus was taken because the temple has their mind made up to eliminate the challenge of Jesus. The plan had to go through to free souls from the bondage of The prince of darkness.
It could have been anyone and possible one of the other disciples like Thomas the doubter.

God knew before hand how Judas would act Jesus did too! There fore they used that knowledge to work God's plan of salvation. The jews were bent certain on killing Jesus God would have provided them a way even if Judas didn't work out.

The devil didn't enter Judas. Judas did as Jesus wanted him to do. Jesus had a well layed plan from the beginning and nothing was going to change it.

Being agnostic, I am skeptical of the Biblical tale of Jesus and doubt its accuracy since the legends of his birth, death, resurrection, and ministry were written long after his alleged lifetime. Additionally, I can not accept the concept of "Original Sin" or Jesus's having faced the crucifixion for "our sins". Having said the preceding, if the story is to be believed, then Judas's reason for being was to betray Christ per God's design; thus, he could not have avoided his fate and his role in the "Passion Play". The entire episode is most likely mythology in my opinion...

Saved?! Wouldn't Judas have to be an Evangelical, maybe a Baptist, neither of which existed at the time? Even Christianity didn't exist then. And how do you know that God didn't use Judas to get the job done and did exactly what the Father wanted him to do?

The Scriptures had to be fulfilled. Judas was the one. One of many questions to ask Jesus when we get home.

Predestination. I know many folks don't like this terminology, but God knows all that is to come from the beginning. We made a choice before being sent to earth in the vessel we abide. God gave everyone a choice. He is a gentleman that does not force Himself on anyone. He wants us to love Him because we choose to, not because we are made to.
The Lord knew Judas was going to betray Him from the time He chose Him to follow as a disciple. God uses men every day, that have made their final choice not to serve Him, to fulfill His Word.

Judas did what he was supposed to do. He did not have a choice in that action. It is also important to understand that at this time, the Devil was not viewed as being evil. He was viewed as being on God's council.
