Where do you live? If you feel the split is inevitable, it would be prudent to marry her now. In most countries, if the split occurs after marriage you can keep both women as your wives. However, if the split occurs before you are married you will have to make a choice if you are thinking about marriage. The second amoeba will be identical to the first, and you would have a spare. One could stay home and clean while you went clubbing with the other. There would be many obvious advantages.
