The Bible seem to have a lot of discrepancies. Does that mean the restoration is true?

I have been asking a lot of questions about the Bible lately. Truly I am confused. I am coming to believe what Joesph Smith said was true that Bible is manipulated and tampered with. It would have been right if correctly translated. That is why there was a need for restoration.

Please post your views. I need to settle my mind.

I f god exists, why does he hide the evidence?

I've read many heart felt replies to similar questions stating that the bible is proof for itself i.e. that it prophecies and fulfills those prophecies. For now, I'll reserve judgement on that as it's a circular agrument.

But as the question states, why is there no evidence for a global flood, why the creation story is at odds to evolution, why Egypt has no record of th Hebrew people ever being there, and why the temple curtain was not recorded as being destroyed until 70 CE as opposed to around 30ish CE during the crucifixtion.

The point is, even though we need to take God's existence on faith, natural events leave evidence. Why, when we know so much have we not found a single peices of supporting evidence and massive amount of evidence against?

What kind of rational god preform a miracle of hiding evidence?

(ok, several questions, but the right answer should take care of them....)

Unoriginal Sin?

Does it make sense that innocent babies and children are sinful, whereas the Bible insists that children are not to suffer for their parent's sins according to these verses:DT 24:16, 2KI 14:6, 2CH 25:4, EZ 18:20

But the New Testament insists that death is passed to all men by the sin of Adam. RO 5:12, 19, 1CO 15:22.

Which make sense to you??

"Are you Born Again?" --- THE NAME GAME!?

'Born Again' Christians usually presents themselves as 'non-denominational church', an easy way to attract different Christian religious groups to their sects. All Christians are welcome in their gatherings; but after some prayers and teachings, the pastor slowly start to inject protestant doctrines to all those who are listening to him. If you are a Catholic, he will open the Bible and start to criticize 'statue making' and 'Mother Mary'. This group believes and propagates the 'Bible alone theory' of Martin Luther. It has thousands of divisions with contrary views and different names as their members follow miracle workers and preachers of their choice.

The name 'Born Again' comes from an unauthentic translation of the Bible: Jesus said to Nicodemus: "Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God, unless he is born of water and Spirit. (Jn: 3-5)
Here is the original Greek manuscript of this Gospel, John never uses the word 'born again'.

Moved to college and questioning my religion?

I was raised as a christian, but now I'm not so sure. I find it difficult to believe in god and think I'm becoming an atheist, but at the same time I'm uncomfortable with that. Everyone is so sure of their belief or non-belief and I am not. What should I do? Please dont say, "just pray".

why does this formula remind me of religion?

Kevin T sells hope about "what they don't want you to know" for a buck, you have to believe and even buy into it, but no guarantees.

Look, give the guy credit, he has created the perfect scam:

1. Offer something everyone wants.
2. Make it IMPOSSIBLE to follow the plan.
