It is Very liberating......
so unlike what I thought it would be, so astonishingly clearing and enlightening....contracting, expanding, contracting, expanding....as easy as the breath.......moving in and out, effortlessly..........

Why would you be asking a question like this? What with all those points and all? I rescued a Raven that was injured and it was during a really hot spell. I gave it water through a straw I had and drove to get it some food after I was turned away at the animal hospital because it was "wild." West Nile Virus they told me. Get out. I did. I had my two beloved rescued poodles with me that were eager to know the bird on the floorboard of my car. On the way home, I heard a rustle from the floorboard and my heart sank. The dogs went crazy wanting to see what was up in the front. I knew. I reached down and the floor was wet. My bird was dead. I sat and cried in front of my house. I am sure my dogs knew what happened. They nudged me to console me. I learned in that moment, not one single creature givies up it's last breath without a fight. That's how precious life is. I know what it is like to live with a knowledge that you will die close to your parents age. My mom died when she was 27. I was 8 months old. I always thought I was on borrowed time. I am still here. I may be a little rough around the edges, but my heart is soft and the Lord is my best friend. My savior. What is liberating is knowing that when I do die, I will be where I should be. Home with the only family I have ever known - Jesus and Father God, and Wisdom, the only Mom I ever had.

Yes, it can feel liberating to be dead to the personality.
The formed personality, made up of a 'past, present and future', is still piqued (for this one), at times, but so what, "I" say.
The intensity of personality can put on quite a show! The attraction is always dancing around...see me, be me! The tempter! ("Being tempted on all sides")
So, do I know of my own death? "Who" knows? ;)
Thank you for being "a voice calling in the wilderness".

I would love to be dead. Life seems to be just a waiting room before the main event, death.

I guess...it could also be very depressing to know you're dead RIGHT before you were about to get that ONE thing you've been longing for in life.

I've died in my dreams before. I was too particularly worried about it. More of a "Hey, look, there I am. Bummer, won't get to go to the beach on Friday."

We are all dead the moment we were born, because existence always results in nothingness. Everything is impermanent.

Yes, but others have said I am morbidly disturbed since I have quested it since I lost my innocence. I am a winged creature, no longer grounded beneath my rock. I am free.
