Maybe this isn't a very important question, but I've always wondered where all the different Christian churches and denominations came from. I know some people say they only differ in minor details, but why don't they agree on everything?

There is only one Bible, so why so many churches?

Well please don't report me for answering my own question, but today is the feast day of St. John Chrysostom.

Endeared as one of the four great doctors of the Church, St. John Chrysostom was born in 347 in Antioch, Syria and was prepared for a career in law under the renowned Libanius, who marveled at his pupil's eloquence and foresaw a brilliant career for his pupil as statesman and lawgiver. But John decided, after he had been baptised at the age of 23, to abandon the law in favour of service to the Saviour. He entered a monastery which served to educate him in preparation for his ordination as a priest in 386 AD.

Do you any of you have a devotion to St. John Chrysostom?

PRAYER: "Oh St. John Chrysostom , friend of God and servant of Jesus, pray for us to the Lord our God, that we may become humble servants of Christ as you were while you lived among us. Amen."

As I understand it, within the Roman Catholic Church there are different Orders, Jesuit, Dominican, but are there others? And what's the difference between them?

For those that "have" more shall be given. For those who don't have, what they have will be taken from them.

It’s quite obvious that Eurus the wind God didn't have a good day, I mean, just look out the window! I hope he calms down soon before my barbecue blows away.

Even with Eurus' out, it still seems that Helios is making the sun shine quite brightly. Of course, you obviously know that Helios is the sun god.

Well... just my luck, a couple of hours and then Hespera, Goddess of the dusk will come out and play, how fun. I just hope she doesn't get sleepy and make dusk fall late today.

I hope Morpheus gives you sweet dreams tonight, well, that all depends on what he feels like.

Chow everyone, and may Hygea bring you good health.

Because that is why you are able not to believe in Him.Because you exist and you can't see Him to believe that He exists. If it was not for God you would not be here.Let me make this clear.THIS DOES NOT MEAN I DONT LOVE YOU ANY LESS.Because You are a human being with feelings just like me or anyone else. And if I were you I would believe like you.Christians are no better than you.Christians are just forgiven.Because all of us sin.But it is the admitting of that sin that sets you free. And it is believing in Jesus. That He is real.Love you all Cindy. And P.S. If I offended anyone I am sorry.I am just explaining how I feel.Just like you have your right to tell everyone how you feel.Love Cindy.

I don't like to work. It takes away my time for spirituality. I think my time is better spent poolside, under the palm trees, with an icy cold vanilla vodka, contemplating the universe and all of creation. I went to work the other day, and, I had forgotten how bad it can be. I mean, they make you do stuff. I don't want to do stuff. I want to relax. I think it is almost time to throw on a couple of steaks, would you like to come over?

I am a girl, and i am not girly, i was always a tom boy since i was young, and now i dress nicely but i still act really guyish. And i know this sounds weird, but whenever people refer to me as 'she' it kind of catches me off guard. Its as if i see myself as a boy. Like when i am around a real girly girl i feel the need to act 'gentlemenly'. But at the same rate i like boys. And when i am attracted to girls i feel like i am a guy like them. But i like boys more. Why do i thnk like this? And then somedays i feel like a girl, like i like purses and shoes, but a lot of the time its me liking cars and sports, i even sit with my knees wide apart. I feel like i am both a guy and a girl, but mostly a guy with personality and mostly a girl sexually. I got tested for testosterone and i was normal. Why do i think like this?

I've always believed in Jesus and wanted to live for Him since I was a little child. But a friend of mine says I should be able to point to a definite time when I gave my heart to Jesus, and if I can't do that (which he can), then I'm not a real Christian.

Is this true? It really worries me.
