First, a majority of Catholics are actually Christian with a different emphasis on Mary and the saints, and a purity ring can be for anyone! But if it has a cross and/or a fish, that's probably designed with the Christian doctrine in mind.

Your pledge to purity is a personal choice and I think it is awesome!!!!! Purity rings are not for any religion but for an outward reminder of an inward decision you have made. Go get one and wear it proudly!!!!

If you are Catholic then you are a Christian. The ring just happened to be started by Christians, that does not make it a Christian article.

I think its wonderful that you want to make this kind of statement.

Go for it!!

All Catholics are Christian not all Christians are Catholic. The ring only has what meaning you give to it. It isn't magical and only work for a Christian.

Hello, sweetheart, you ARE a Christian even if you're Catholic. You can order them at most jewelry stores or if you have a religious store in your town/city see if they carry them. You could also order one online if you wanted. Best to you! (I'd google chastity ring) and see if there is one specific to Catholics. I know I've seen them. ( worked in private jewelry for 7 years )

Don't catholics consider themselves to be christian?
That aside - if you want to wear the ring, wear it. Much happiness to you.

No you don't need to be a christian. Just confused enough to think that it would matter to God in the first place.

Love and blessings Don

If you're catholic you're christian, despite what the fundies say.

But it's good that you asked. God will smite your finger off if you wear a purity ring and you're not a christian. He is, after all, a jealous god.
