My 3 year old and I were in a department store today, and passed by a halloween display. He and I continued to talk about it as we were walking out. He said "Oooh spooky!" Problem was, we were passing several black ladies who gave me the dirtiest look. Should I tell my son that's a naughty word? We've never used that word in an ugly way, so when he said it it was in total innocence and wasn't talking about black people at all. Should I have tried to explain to the ladies, and risk bad turning to worse?

I do not want to argue my faith against yours I'm just curious to see what your take on these particular verses are:
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Al´pha and the O·me´ga,” says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.”

then again in Revelation 22:13-16:
13 I am the Al´pha and the O·me´ga, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Happy are those who wash their robes, that the authority [to go] to the trees of life may be theirs and that they may gain entrance into the city by its gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and those who practice spiritism and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone liking and carrying on a lie.’ 16 “‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to YOU people of these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright morning star.’”

Isn't Jesus stating his diety here by saying He is the Alpha and Omega as Jehovah God said in Chapter 1:8?

Many Christians on here have said the Holy Spirit guides them as they read God's word. Then why do Christians disagree about KEY issues of doctrine? If the Word is clear then are you telling me the Holy Spirit is telling believers different things? Who is right?

I mean, Jesus is just a story. Nobody has ever seen or heard Him and if they have, it could be just weird emotions or cultural pressure on their psychology, I mean, really!
Doesn't it seem rather cruel for a God to make one way to Heaven, and then make the path so hidden, unreasonable and so esoteric that four billion people wouldn't believe it?

I have heard from sources that Portuguese is the hardest romance language to learn. From other I have heard that Portuguese is as easy to learn as Spanish. For the most part, how does Portuguese compare in difficulty to French, Spanish, etc? Pronunciation? Grammar? Vocabulary?

Why a cross? Assuming that he actually existed, why couldn't have he been killed another way? They could have just hung him from a building and thrown rocks at him, or tied him up to a tree and made hundreds of incisions into him until he bled to death.

Why do you expect me to believe in what you say and that it is true if the only source for your information comes from the watchtower.org site? Since when could a person get honest and correct answers from only one source. Don't you think your information could be bias and dishonest?

In school whenever I did a research report I had to use mutiple sources, not just one especiallly from someone that had much to gain by lying. Now is this logical?

What is the proper greeting for Ramadan? You know, like for New Year it's Happy New Year...I don't see how Happy Ramadan makes sense, so is there a proper greeting for people for Ramadan? If there is, can you please write it in English and Arabic?

I know it's a sin to cuss but is it a sin to watch shows with cussing in it? As long as I don't do that sin would taht be ok? I was watching a video but it had cussing in it so I turned it off. Do you think it would be acceptable to watch these shows?
