Why do you expect me to believe in what you say and that it is true if the only source for your information comes from the watchtower.org site? Since when could a person get honest and correct answers from only one source. Don't you think your information could be bias and dishonest?

In school whenever I did a research report I had to use mutiple sources, not just one especiallly from someone that had much to gain by lying. Now is this logical?

Even worse, you have your own bible that has been changed to fit your doctrines, you could at least use a different bible, that's just bad.

I have to say this, and it hurts to really even think about it, but the new world testament, you jw's changed alot of the commas in there, like "truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise" was changed to "truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise" hence giving it an entirely different meaning. Now, the reason I don't believe any bible any more is because of your cult and the way your leaders twist every little thing to try and control you. Isolation--seperation--control. The trinity of the cult of jehovah's witnesses. Shame on every last one of you horrible people.

Your complaining at the end aside, I rarely use links. When I do it is to whatever source I feel answers said question best. Case in point if someone asks me a question on here about Witnesses, I try to direct them to ask an actual Witness, real world. You are right it is good to use multiple sources.

As for your comment at the end, if you want to know what someone bases their beliefs on, wouldn't it make sense to list wording from said book?? Also, just cause I might list something from one Bible doesn't mean I am telling you don't use another Bible. Hope this helped.

I'm not any religion but I believe that as well. Many people believe in this whole going to heaven and hell thing. They just don't know what they are reading because the bible makes it clear what happens at death. Christ said himself that no man has ascended to heaven but he who has come down so there is no one up there or in hell.

If a person reads watchtower literature they come to a different conclusion that reading the bible alone.

"They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..."

Why would we want to use other sources, when we have the truth. Look at what a Minister had to say about our literature:

Recently a clergyman in Brooklyn, New York, obtained a copy of the book The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life. He was so impressed with the chapter dealing with prayer that he used the book to teach members of his church this chapter in a special meeting. Later he was asked by one of them, “Are you teaching us out of those Jehovah’s witnesses’ books?”

He replied: “It is the truth, isn’t it? When you want Sunday-school literature, you get it from several sources, don’t you? Well, Jehovah’s witnesses teach the truth. Furthermore, when you see Jehovah’s witnesses with the Watchtower magazine, you ought to take it, because they print the truth.”

And we will use any Bible that a person wants to use, I always carry a King James Bible with me, when going from door to door, in fact thats how I found the Truth, was with the King James Bible, my wife also.

Last year 2006, 248,327became Jehovah's Witnesses and everyone of these had to change their minds pertaining to the false teachings that they had been taught, these were people that used their own Bible, King James, etc., 28,915 were from the United States.

No they cannot, as they are strongly discouraged from reading opposing material.

Go ahead and deny it people, those who have been there know. I'm actually acquiesing somewhat by saying "strongly discouraged", when I clearly remember it being forbidden. Some of you indicate that the rules may have laxed a bit, so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here.

Bible changed to fit our doctrines? Not at all.. Theres translations out there that made before any English translation, that translate the bible similar to the New World Translations. If anyone translate the bible to fit their doctrines, its the one that supports the trinity.
