I agree, Jesus is the Living and Risen God, ascended to heaven to represent me before the throne of God. But there are detractors and disbelievers who will never accept anecdotal evidence of the existence of The Lords involvement in our lives. We will all know The Lord in the end, as we are sifted to the left and to the right at the command of Jesus.
All of these detractors will probably be singing a different song then!

How can one be scared of the truth, if one does not believe in whatever "the truth" is!? Perhaps it is not fear. Perhaps they truly do not believe. And why should that harm us?
If I told you there was such thing as witches and ghosts, and you did not believe... would it be because YOU were scared, OR because you have not discovered or learned enough fact to believe??
Does that make you scared of the truth!? NO! It simply makes you a skeptic! Leave the Atheists and every other non-believer just be! Harsh words and a little criticism never hurt anyone, unless you let it.
You and I can continue to believe if it makes us better people. If they are happy with their beliefs or the lack thereof, then why should we push our religion, faith, or beliefs on them!? They too (some of them) are good people!
Just because they do not have the same beliefs we do, they should not be made the target of any stone-throwing! We should rather spend our time befriending them and being examples.

Winston Churchill said, "Truth is incontrovertible. Panic may reset it; ignorance may deride it; malice may distort it; but it is."
Confusion over truth is the fundamental crisis of our age. With truth we can fashion answers to the perplexing problems of modern life. Without it we are doomed to stumble along in blindness, hitting our heads on low beams and our knees on sharp corners and eventually pitching headlong off a cliff.
Perhaps the dominant opinion, at least in educational and intellectual circles today, is that universal truth does not exist or can't be known. This view of truth is called postmodernism, and as a result of postmodernism, everyone is doing what is right in his or her own eyes. The result is that American culture is falling apart.
The clash over right and wrong plays itself out daily on television talk shows. Every day guests defend practices and beliefs that would only be discussed privately--and then only rarely--forty years ago. Everything is defended by statements like "Who are you to tell me what is right?" or "I am happy in what I am doing, and it is not hurting anybody, so why does it matter to you?"
Tolerance is perhaps the most important virtue to postmodern society, and intolerance the most serious vice. One can violate the Ten Commandments and no one blinks an eye. If one dares to question the truth or moral value of someone's views or actions, that is intolerable.
The Bible teaches that truth exists and can be known. God has revealed truth through His prophets, apostles, and Son, and this truth is preserved for us in inspired Scripture. So we do not share the postmodern anxiety about truth. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am...the truth", not "a truth"; "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free" (John 8:32); and "When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13)."
Paul wrote in Eph 4:21, "The truth is in Jesus" and "God our Savior...desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim 2:3-4)."
We must admit that we do not have a perfect grasp of the truth that God has given us. Godly, well informed, and intelligent Christians disagree over many things in the Bible, such as the sovereignty of God and the free will of man and how we should baptize. Therefore, we should not overstate our case when discussing truth. We may believe something to be true (such as how to baptize) without being able to prove to someone else that is true.
1 Cor 13:9-13 teaches, it is not until we stand before Jesus that we will know and understand truth perfectly. When presenting truth, we should have a certain humility that acknowledges our imperfect grasp of truth and that treats others with respect even if we do not agree with them.
Nevertheless, we do not determine our own truth, as postmodernists claim. Instead, we accept and practice the truth as it is revealed in Jesus, who is the truth. And in areas outside God's special revelation through Jesus and the Scriptures, we reject as false any claims to truth that are not in harmony with what we understand of revealed truth.

Jesus is as alive to you as Jehovah is to others and Muhammad is to still others. I would not say that they are scared of what you interpret to be the truth, more likely they have found their own truth. I wish you a spiritual life with an open mind.

LADY SAPHIRA, what purpose does it serve for you to constantly demand that your truth is the only one for everyone? Do you get brownie points for extra rides in heaven. Will you get a statue in the park in heaven for everyone you convert? The purpose in life is to learn and to make mistakes along the way keeps the Christian religion in candle money. I think that there must be some room left for us non-Christians!

I believe Jesus WAS a person. But i don't believe all that religious stuff about him.
He was a person who cared desperately about people and died for them.
he would be utterly DISGUSTED if he saw how some people are using his name these days....priests who molest children....parents who get rid of their kids and send them to reform schools....people who are just DOWNRIGHT mean.
i have no problem with people who believe in religion. Just please don't force it on others or judge people. Be a good person who treats others with kindness and warmth.
I have no tolerance for phony religious people who think it's their way or the highway. Everyone interprets religion and spiritualty differently.
i can feel the thumbs down already! LOL
