Yes, if it not so hot that I have to leave the A/C on. I prefer the window in my bedroom open. I do not live in a high crime area, but you never know what might happen. I am a light sleeper, and wake up to any weird noise. Plus I have a (friend)
and I know how to use it.
One time a few years back I was woken up about 5-5:30 in the morning, by someone knocking on my bedroom window. They continued down the back of the house knocking on my other windows. I did not let them know there was anybody here, and I knew for sure that I did not know who this person wasl I was alone, so I got up and got my (friend), called 911.
When the police got here, they found him trying to get out my side yard gate. I guess it was some drunk, who had the wrong house or something. I never did find out, but they took him away. That's good because if he had tried to break in or got in he would have been in for a rude ending. I was ready for him. And he wasn't coming in to borrow a cup of sugar.

I do leave my windows open when the weather is cool enough out side to allow me to do so. Yes I do feel some what safe, as I live in a small travel trailer and the windows are so small that it would be hard for any one to come in threw them. I also have 2 dogs outside that are right beside my trailer. But then again if someone wanted in bad enough, they can break in very easy. But then again, I don't think they would want what I have waiting on the inside of the trailer for them either.

I leave my windows open when it is not raining, but I live on the second floor of the house. I also have tabs built into the window frame that prevent the window from opening high enough to let a body inside. It is nice to have the night time breeze flowing through the bedroom while sleeping

I am fortunate that I live in a remote area and do leave some of my windows open. But I make sure they are braced to not open far enough for someone to be able to slip inside. And I only leave the ones that are fairly high off the ground this way because I don't need four legged intruders. Have you ever seen what a possum or a skunk, raccoon, squirrel ,fox or bear can do to the inside of a house? It is not pretty.

Yes. I live on the 4th floor of an apartment. I don't think spiderman could scale these walls. I feel very safe leaving my bedroom window open at night but I close and lock all of the others.

Yes, of course. I love the fresh air that comes in an open window, especially now that the evenings are getting cooler.
I probably feel safe as I live in a nice suburban community.

I'm not sure I would feel the same way if I lived on the ground floor of a neighborhood with a high crime rate.

I've always felt that if someone really wanted to get into my home "to get me", the perp would find a way in.

Not any more, we live in an apartment complex now, and for some reason there are no screens on the windows. And no I wouldn't feel save doing it anyway, plus I live in southeast Texas near the coast and the humidity is awful. When we lived in the rural part of the hill country in Texas, yes we could and did. And I felt very safe.
