I mean, Jesus is just a story. Nobody has ever seen or heard Him and if they have, it could be just weird emotions or cultural pressure on their psychology, I mean, really!
Doesn't it seem rather cruel for a God to make one way to Heaven, and then make the path so hidden, unreasonable and so esoteric that four billion people wouldn't believe it?

I guess the same is true for Muslims!

I have met Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and He totally changed my life.
That is how I know.

"When people say, "Jesus is the only way," how can they possibly know that?"
They believe it. Jesus said it. They are the ones being saved.

"I mean, Jesus is just a story."
Really, how do you know that? Were you there?

"Nobody has ever seen or heard Him and if they have, it could be just weird emotions or cultural pressure on their psychology, I mean, really!"
You don't believe, that's why you don't know.

"Doesn't it seem rather cruel for a God to make one way to Heaven, and then make the path so hidden, unreasonable and so esoteric that four billion people wouldn't believe it?"
Maybe. But that doesn't stop me from believing Him.

Look, it's like this: God is not a man like you or me. He does things different because it pleases Him to be different. And He is the original, we are just copies. So either kick against Him and die, or trust Him and live.

I find it interesting that you are asking a question specifically about something Jesus Christ said Himself and also saying that this is "hidden." If you, somebody who probably does not believe that Christ is the only way to salvation, are asking the question of whether or not it is true, how can you also say that this is something that has been hidden from you? You cannot say one and same thing and maintain a logical argument.

I would say that if you think Jesus is a liar or was insane, then you are right, it is unreasonable to believe that He is the only way as He claimed He was. However, if you think Jesus was a good man, and one who taught good things, you must also accept the fact that He believed the things He taught and was likely not lying or insane. In the latter case, He was telling the truth and His words are to be believed at face value.

It is your call, nobody is forcing you to do anything. Have a great day!

The path to God was never hidden. Even you know of it. The path to heaven is not unreasonable. All you have to do is accept Jesus for who he claimed to be, and repent of your sins. That's it! That's pretty easy. By no means is that unreasonable. The path to heaven is not esoteric either. Jesus put it all in simple parables that anyone can understand. (If you don't understand, maybe you can try a Sylvan Learning Center in your area to help you with that reading comprehension problem you have.)

John, what about the many people who have studied the way of the Lord and learned how it works? The Catechism is written in such a way that people can follow the teachings and understand the background of how the teachings of Christ tie into the way it is applied by the Catholic Church. God isn't cruel, He sent the Holy Spirit to guide the apostles and the Church throughout all of these centuries. We know what we are basing our lives upon and why, and there is no emotion involved. Except that we really do love Him.

First, Jesus truly was a person who lived in history. There is sufficient evidence of his existence to the person who does any kind of search.

Now then, the reason why people say "Jesus is the only way" is because they are actually quoting Jesus' own words.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me." He said many other things that indicated that he actually thought he was equivalent to God. He even went about forgiving people's sins, but to prove that he had that kind of authority, he healed people, such as paralytics, people who were born blind, the crippled, etc, etc.

He said "You already believe in God, now believe in me." and "When you've seen me, you've seen the Father", along with other such claims.

If he truly IS who he claimed to be, then what he said about coming to God has to be truth. If not, then he was either a raging lunatic, or just simply a liar, or possibly even lucifer himself.

But he also said, "Destroy this temple (referring to the temple of his body), and in three days I shall raise it up again". Three days after his crucifixion, he rose from the grave, thus proving that he is who he claimed to be. In fact, he was seen by over 500 people at one time after his death and resurrection.

So, the reason we say that "Jesus is the only way" is because HE said so - we are just quoting Jesus' own words, and we believe him because he IS alive.

And it is NOT hidden. Jesus said that the reason people refuse to come to him is because their deeds are evil.

The reason why there is only one way to heaven is because we have all broken God's Laws and deserve the penalty, which is separation from God and all that is good in a place called Hell. Jesus died in our place. He paid the penalty for our sins (crimes against God), and otherwise, we remain guilty.

All the good works in the world is not enough to undo the sins we have already committed, so God is offering us a way of escape through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Apostel are those who walked along with Christe. They were the first disiples of Christe.

John was one of Apostel who was against blind beliefs. He did not believe the stories on resurrction of Christe untill he met Him and toched his wounds.

We have to learn from him believing alone cant help.

"Jesus is only way". What was Jesus way then?

He way was way of Love. Love is God.

But What people mean is we are all sinner and sinners go only to hell. Christe who died for sins will cleanse our sins so he is the only way so as to reach heaven.

Is it alright for us to handover our sins to other and let him suffer for us and all we need to do is repent. Easy wayout.

If we are man enough then face the consequences of our act. Go in the path of love and try to forgive self and all others and move on.

Just like John we also need to experience Christe. Then try to attain objective of the path of love and that is finding the Kingdom of Heaven in self.

Well it's like this. If things are true then you have to pick the right horse to win. If you don't you loose.

That's the way life works.

Free will.

You get to pick.

Pick right and you might win

Pick wrong and you might loose

If the Atheists are right, it doesn't matter, you loose either way.

If you're a Muslim and you follow the wrong human (Osama or the Ayotollah) you might loose or you might win.

If you're a Christian and you follow Billy Graham or Pat Roberston you might loose or you might win.

If you follow the Atheists and they are wrong, you loose.

Now if you follow God or Allah, who knows what will happen.

But along the way you may have to choose between Allah and the Ayotollah or Osama

But along the way you might have to choose between God, Jesus and Billy Graham and Pat Roberston.

Free Will your choice.

Choose wisely

Make the wrong choice you loose

Both ISLAM and CHRISTIANITY say that.

Have you read the Bible "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father but by me!"

How much clearer can that be? What is hidden or unreasonable?

It's so simple, I guess that what makes it so difficult for you right now.

Jesus isn't just a story. there is nothing weird about hearing him or seeing him and it doesn't make one crazy. Being without him I would go crazy.

The path isn't hidden or unreasonable it is a matter if you choice to believe the lie that he is just a silly story or the truth and accept him as your savior.

And when you accept him with all your heart you will know.
