Intelligence certainly has a genetic link. But being theistic/atheistic likely has more to do with environmental factors of the individual. I would doubt your faith (or lack thereof) would be found on the chromosomes.

Nice do! I'm reading a book right now by a guy named Dean Hamer called "The God Gene". (I think Samurai Jack told me about the book - somebody here did). He builds a strong case for a genetic influence to spirituality. Not an on/off switch - but an influence. Has to do with a gene that regulates the monoamines - dopamine, seratonin and norepinephrin.
One of the ideas he posits is that spirituality and religion are two different things - Spirituality being the internal experience (with genetic influence), religion being the 'meme' - or the learned cultural aspect.

expertise is that in case you're unsleeping or no longer. you may properly be subconscious, semi-huge unsleeping or huge unsleeping. as an occasion, in case you hit your head and get knocked out, you would be subconscious. Intelligence is how smart you're. you are able to be a genius, familiar or dumb. in case you had expertise yet no longer intelligence, then you certainly could be an alive, dumb individual. in case you had intelligence yet no longer expertise, then you certainly could be surpassed out and you does no longer must be smart. Oh, and all and sundry has some variety of intelligence, so which you fairly can no longer no longer have any intelligence.

It doesn't help that we have minds that love to organize things. We see faces and sailboats and such in clouds. Frequently we see meaning in scripture that isn't there. Like all the people spouting hate and worse nationalism in association with Christianity. I don't think they realize what Jesus was saying nor do they think it's important. To them every verse in the Bible is as important as every other making it a tool to say anything you want it to say. Add to that the presumed infallibility of scripture and you've pretty much given them complete validation for any crackpot view they wish to concoct. It never fails to amaze me that the KKK claims to be Christian.
The point is to try as best you can to understand the overall approach to life and salvation that Jesus was trying to tell you about, then attempt to act like him.
He told us not to judge and that the Father is love, and that we should love one another without conditions.
God is Love

Nice pic!
I think intelligence is fostered by many factors, genetic being one. I would include formative environment, social circles, parents education or intellectual curiosity, health and diet, access to books and new experiences, etc.

They mostly don't seem much different from one another, Christians, Muslims, atheists, agnostics.
Some intelligent, some dumb as posts, many just mediocre.

I agree. We've got to remember not to be too hypocritical with our generalizations here. I'm sure that environment and upbringing contributes to curiosity and open-minded-ness, which are closely related to intelligence in my opinion.

I agree. There's a few stupid ones and a few bright ones in every bunch...and a whole lot of in-betweeners.

There is some limited evidence for that. Google "God gene" and you will find it.
