Think of Lord Malaprop if you don't know who he is I'm sorry moving on, God admired his creation's, its important that I refer to creation's as HIS because all religious text anywhere has male all over it, got that, thank you. But HIS creation's could'nt write or build churches. So God got frustated and sent a asteriod to wipe them out, (this is possible because HE's all powerfull and the text of all religion's say HE can be a real pryck when he wants to. The mass extinction event took out most of HIS creation's especially the big ones, are you with me or am I going to fast. Now the earth was wide open for mammalian evolution, HE got frustrated again because it took another 65 meeellion years for mamals to evolve into worshipers who could write down HIS rules and build him great houses of worship, with blood in the mortar. Q's, is this in the ball-park, sheep.

I mean the bible says if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed you can move a mountain..


also the mind can be convinced into many things...

so if i was to tell a child from birth they could heal themselves of any cut, scrape, wound, or illness would they be able to trick there mind into healing their body?

Its not fair. I have been a good guy for many years being celibate. Then, I quit celibacy, got a girlfriend because I was lonely, depressed and horny. Now after a few months of fornicating, God has given me some kind of illness. I'm getting headaches and this is all terrible.

Well, I'm going back to celibacy and hopefully God will lift this curse off of me. How long does it take for the lifting of curses to process? Can this be expedited if i pray to the east or something?

Well, I'll tell you something, now i'm sure there is a God existing.

I can't wait for Him to return back to this Hellscape Planet Earth. I see sins everyday and as the years go by, things seem to get worse and worse. The Bible states that Jesus shall return on a "white horse, with fire issuing from His snout and the blood of non-belivers upon His sword". You see, sometime violence is needed to wash away decaying filth such as Hollywood entertainment and women wearing short shorts. Back in the 50s things were so much better with men running the family and no birthcontrol or abortions. I want Jesus to return so we can go back to that glorious state of morality!

Yes, I am tall and thin, but every office job I have had it has been very diffcult for me to make friends with anyone because I feel like other women discriminate against me because of my height and weight, whether it's how rude they talk to me or the nasty looks they give me. I think I have a great personality and sense of humor. I have dealt with this since I started my first office job at 21. And yes, I have lost jobs due to this. I just wonder why people can't see past me being tall and thin, and see the other great things about me.

My wife is Catholic and I am Evangelical Zionist. What should we do about our kids. We have alot of the same moral beliefs but she will want to perform all of those rites on our child. I'm not sure how to handle this.

murdered loads of people and was horrible to boot. The reason I believe in him is because, something really dramatic must have happened to him. A big shock can cause a massive change in a persons nature, that is why I believe in the Damasus
happening.
St Paul must have got a fright to be blinded,

'Thou shalt not kill'

It's taken from the Bible, but this is echoed in many different ways through many different religions.

I have asked why it still happens (in God's name) before, and I was basically told that it's ok to kill someone if it is for the protection of self.

For me, that means that I then have the freedom to break ANOTHER Christian commandment and judge for myself who is right and who is wrong.

When I commit this act of killing another, it seems to me that not only have I judged, I have also decided not to love my neighbor.

Not just Christians, but so far I'm not clued up enough to be able to apply this across the board. I only know that it does apply, rather than the words I need to explain so.

By the way, I'm not Christian, but I just use the Christian words that are the ones I know. Not picking on any faith in particular.

My own idea.

Where does it say in the bible that you need a second baptism in the Holy spirit to receive the gifts of the HS. one of my acquaintences asked me about this. She believes in the gifts of the spirit but I can't explain that you don't get the gifts of the holy spirit when you first accept Christ. You receive the Holy Spirit, but it requires an addition baptism in the Holy Spirit to receive the gifts, how do i explain this using scripture

My sister-in-law is not Catholic, neither is her husband. They are not at all religious and never have been church goers.
Their daughter started school last September and they didnt like the school she was attending. So they have now baptised her Catholic so she can attend the Catholic school that has better results.
Im i overracting by being disgusted by this? I think its a terrible thing to pretend to have a faith purely for gain in this way.
Im not Catholic myself but i respect religion and i am aware of
Catholic beliefs, these people openly admit they have no intention of following this religion. In fact they laughed at the idea and said it was a good job the Vicar wasnt aware that she had had an abortion!
My sister-in-law and her husband have good well paid jobs, they could afford to move within the catchment area of a better school or ever pay to go private, there was no need to do this.

Am i overreacting? Is this common practise now??

I don't go to church. Two friends of mine do.Today they learned that their 'minister' submitted his resignation. He did so because he had had an affair with a "female church member" for two years. His wife found out. In fact she caught them together one night when she was waiting for him outside the church. He was taking far too long. So she went inside and caught them together in his office.
Here was a man who supposedly"walked a straight line," always preached a good sermon (usually about adultery), and who was loved and honored by his members.
One of my friends was very upset....not because of his sin, but because he was caught.
She didn't want hin to leave because-
as she put it, (and others also apparently)
"he is only human"
I asked her how she felt about the other woman.
She said the other woman was a tramp.
Go figure.

I saw an alert, like when you get 2 points for answering a question, only it said "alert, one of your answers has been deleted, -2 points." I never got an e mail telling me what answer to what question or why it was deleted. I got this message late last night. Do they send you an e mail? This was my first deleted answer.
