I remember watching a documentary on her daily life. She has a private secretary who sorts her mail with letters asking for favors or help in some situation. She sees that the letters are forwarded to the proper organization to be taken care of.
Since she's the reigning monarch, she is informed about any and all government matters and is the only member of the royal family to see classified documents.
She is forbidden by Constitutional Law from introducing legislation, but she can advise or recommend.
