The Holy Scriptures identify Christ as the focal point of Creation. "He(Christ) spoke, and it was done; he commanded and it stood fast". Psalm 33:9.

"By him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth......All things were created through him and for him". Colossians 1:16.

Our Lord has existed from eternity. He was with God the Father in the "unbegun beginning". He is the righteous Son of God, the embodiment of the Father, the only begotten, the great I AM, to whom angels owe their creation and for which they give him glory and joyful service.

We humans also praise his creative power.

We praise his creatorship because its dynamics elude our understanding, because its manifestations stagger our imagination and delight our senses.

When we behold the stars, the moon, the work of his hands, we cry out with David, "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:1).

Your thoughts...................

if the bible is truly the "word of God", then why oh why is it filled with so many inconsistencies? i'm only paraphrasing here, but in genesis, the first few lines talk about how the earth is flat, the water is in the sky and the earth is covered by a dome. science has PROVEN these false. if the bible were truly the word of God, then He would have "written" it correctly. And don't say "he told" whomever to write it that why. Why on Earth would God want to spread false words to have people believe them to be true?

What have people "picked" on you for? You skin color, your religion, the country you came from, etc.........

I'm sure a few of you have more than one story. Feel free to tell as many as you want.

What did you do after you were subjected to this treatment.

1. If they are in the middle of something, they won't acknowledge you but continue to do what they are doing? Do you feel that you are interrupting them?

2. That some people tend to look down when speaking and not look directly at you?

3. The grocery clerk, while doing a transaction, looks all around (with their mouth open for some reason), and is not attentive to you?

Have you experienced any of this?

If 'respect' is the right word.

Fundies who are just batsh*t crazy, or 'moderates'; those hypocrites who cherry-pick the bible for passages they like to justify their belief in a fairy tale and bigotry, and disregard the passages that restrict their lifestyles?

At least the fundies are honest.

For all those who don't know their history there once lived a women named Madalyn Murray O'Hair who was the founder of American Atheist. This women had very strong beliefs against God and the church. One of her famous quote was:
"There is no God. There's no heaven. There's no hell. There are no angels. When you die, you go in the ground, the worms eat you." This women is responsible for not allowing prayers in the school system.
Madalyn Murray O'Hair and her family was later killed by a fellow atheist that once worked for her. She and her family had been tortured and bodies dumped like trash.

Do you believe that this was the raft of God for her many years of atheist or just being in a bad situation?

What is your a personal reflection about people who mocked God?

Is it basically a guide to living? I was raised a catholic but it was forced down my throat so I rejected all notions of God, Jesus etc as soon as hit 18. But now that im a bit older I dont know what to believe. I tried to read the Bible before but it was written in this hard to read dialect which was well......hard to read. Is there a book that you can get which explains the Bible in a more easy to understand language, y'know like those notes you'd get in school to explain what the hell the great Gatsby was all about?

As some of you know I have recently started asking a lot of questions about religion and God. I have not gotten very satisfactory answers from the believers. It is hard not to side with the atheists on almost every question for me lately. This is a very scary feeling. Was it hard for you to realize you didn't believe?

Ok follow the logic on this one.

Trinity = Father, Son, and Holy spirit. = One God.

Jews believe that "The lord your God is one" or One God.

Christians believe in the God of Abraham as do the Jews.

Christians by definition of the Trinity, believe that Christ is God, as is the Father and Holy spirit which equate to One God.

IF this is true, and most Christians believe in the Trinity, then Jews, by believing in God, Believe in Jesus Christ to CHRISTIANS.

Think about it. If the Christian God is Triune and involves the son being God himself and the Christian God is the same as Judaism (to Christians) then Jews to Christians believe in Jesus Christ through the trinity.

Jews = Belief in one God.
Christians = Belief in one God that came from Judaism that consists of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

So to Christians, Jews should be Christians under the Trinity, because their belief in God is the Christian God which is triune = Belief in Christ.

What do you think?

I've been training at a job where only one other employee-- a sweet 87 year old lady--- was working. She passed away about a week ago (It's been very hard to deal with) and we've had a purple bow on the door of the business. How long should I wait before I take it down? I don't want to seem disrespectful of her memory, especially since her family frequently passes by or comes in. She ran this store for over ten years; it was her life. Help would be much appreciated.

"If you truly love some one, you cannot judge them"
