...and it condemns the charging of interest. How many gay bashers own a credit card, or have a car loan, or a mortgage?

If you are paying interest, you are involved in the same sin as the one charging it.

Lots.

Jesus said not to pray out loud or in public, too - how many evangelists have you seen praying in public?

Matthew 6:6:

"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

The problem with the bible is that it is full of absolute rubbish (has anyone actually read it all?)...
the trouble with some biggots is that they take small sections of the bible and use it for their own means, saying that their hatred is in the name of Christianity...
These people miss the whole point of what the man Jesus stood for... and so miss the whole point of Christianity...
Christians should read the bible in the spirit of Jesus' broader message and in the context in which it was written (the place, the culture, the time, the motivation of the people who wrote it)... it is dangerous, counterproductive and stupid to read it literally.
Personally i think that Jesus' message was sound: love, forgiveness, acceptance, embracing and healing...
I can't imaging Jesus ever said to a Gay person... go to hell... get out of my sight... i hate you... etc.
He would have loved each and every gay person as a human being... and had dinner with them and washed their feet, humbly.

Um, yes the Bible says to LEND things freely.

By me Paying interest on a creit card, I am not violating that. Now if I lend money it is to be without any form of interest. See the difference?

Oh, and true Christians would not bash any sinner. We are all sinners. It is not our job to put others down. We do however want people to come and see God's love so we must show our enemies love, just as Jesus taught.

Now ask yourself this, if someone is bashing gay people, are they TRULY christian? We all sin. Some are gay, some liars, some thieves, some adulterers. It is our job to do our best to change our sinfull ways, not to judge others or bash others. We need to upbuild others so they can make changes in order to be pleasing to God.

God wants none to be destroyed and he uses his true followers to accomplish this by preaching the word and setting the example.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, ‘“As I am alive,” is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one, but in that someone wicked turns back from his way and actually keeps living.

You say i should give up my credit cards because someone else is charging me interest and you're gay. Hmmm? If you're a religious person you would know that Paul was originally Saul, a tax collector who was relentless against the Christians till he met Jesus and saw the err of his ways. If you're gay I don't care, but I will not tolerate someone telling me that credit cards are a sin. Evil yes, sin no. The bible is a joke and death is it's punchline. don't worry about what someone else thinks of you, be happy with who you are and take comfort in knowing that religious "gay bashers" are miserable seeing you happy. Perhaps they envy you for being yourself and not a GOD PUPPET.

When cameras were first invented they only worked in black and white. It seems to me you still want to see things that way. You can thump that Bible till you're blue in the face but you'll not understand what it says until you have a little talk with your soul. If you believe that God answers prayers then ask God directly. You don't need the ink to jump off the paper and impregnate your brain do you? Solve your own problems and quit worrying whether or not others live according to "the rules." You are not "the enforcer."

You seem to be "grasping at straws" to make a futile point! There is no justification for transgressing the Spiritual Laws of God!.......Indebtedness in and of itself is not a sin. Having the means and the ability to repay a loan on something without becoming a slave to it (within reason) is not a sin according to the Bible. It is acceptable and not uncommon among the Christian faith. BTW......True Christians do NOT make a habit of "gay bashing". But they DO make a habit of OBEYING God's Spiritual Laws, of which seems to obviously elude (with the influence of Satan of course) most of society.

sick girl, that's what so many people who condone homosexuality mistakenly think because they just want to have something mean to say against Christians. But I have never heard of anyone who was against it, then came out later. Unless you take an honest survey of people who are against homosexuality, you are only blindly assuming.

And of everyone who does not condone homosexuality, I have come across very FEW who hate homosexuals. It's people like you who spread the false message that just because Christians don't approve of homosexuality, you twist it into hate. Homosexuality is a sin, like lying, stealing, envy, or all other sins. Everyone sins, even Christians, even myself! But we still love everyone. So don't go spreading your lies about what you don't know or understand.

We are prohibited from CHARGING interest; however, because most lenders are greedy (which is a form of idolatry), we are charged interest. Borrowing money and having to pay interest is not sharing in this prohibition.

You're using highly faulty logic. By your reasoning, a person who is robbed is just as guilty as the robber.

Sin isn't something you do, it's what you are.
The only cure is to loose the ego and become a loving non judgmental Child of God.
Anyone bashing gays dooms themselves to the same fate they judge for others (or as bad as it gets since eternal hell fire is over the top)

The question should be, how many gay bashers are money lenders. Charging interest is different from owing interest, you realise.

But anyway, good point nonetheless.

I could be wrong but I don't think it condemns the charging of interest. Could you site the specific verse? There was a time that the early church thought this was not a good practice because of the way lenders would treat (abuse) the lendees, but it was never officially condemned.
