Only the Bible is God's Word. The other books are from Satan.
You can't be a Christian and believe anything but this regarding this subject matter. So the "christian" above is a fake.

Well, there are great EVIDENCES for the accuracy of the Bible, which are completely lacking in other holy books. Thousands of specific dates, names of rivers, streams, mountains, valleys, towns, etc are mentioned, and every single one with accuracy.
Further, no other holy book contains the phenomenon of fulfilled prophecy. Jesus birth alone fulfilled dozens of prophecies from the Bible. The odds of doing so are so crazy, you'd have to live in the Twilight Zone to believe it was all coincidence.
No, no my friend, these things give the strongest possible evidence that the Bible is truly the Word of an Almighty God.

I'm guessing you are talking about the apocryphal scriptures? There may be many reasons. An easy answer would be that a religion is necessarily a philosophy, and those scriptures that does not fit into the philosophical perspective (thought to be) defining the relion might be interpreted as incorrect. Other reasons might include upbringing, political climate leading to the culmination of the religious scriptures, philosophical/political debates throughout history by conflicting factions of the same religion, etc etc.

Christians seem to be coming around on that subject, unlike most Muslims. At LEAST they seem to "get" that many others don't buy their claim that the bible is the word of god. Who says? How could it be? Nobody has ever seen god! You've all heard this before.
But, unfortunately, if you observe it like a social study, Muslims don't seem to have reached the realization that Christians have, that their "book" is only "holy" to THEM, and the content is soooo antiquated and redundant in this day and age that it's almost laughable. (To non-religious).
The term "holy book" is a questionable term, ANYWAY. How can a bunch of words on paper be "holy?" Who SAYS it is? Do people surrender their blind faith to an old book just because someone told them they have to, and because everybody else is doing it?
Reminds me of a big school of fish all going in one direction, into the mouth of the predator fish, just because all the rest are ......................

I am a Christian and believe other books also contain Gods word. The Bible refers to 17 books as sources that no longer exist. The Books of the Bible were limited to a select few by a council selected by the Roman Emperor. When the eliminated books may have not been part of the canon, they are still about the Savior.

Because they're brainwashed to believe that. And they're also not smart enough to open their minds to an idea that uses logic. Forgive them, for they know not how dumb they sound.
edit: sassinya, dear, there are tons of books older than the bible. The Bhagavad Gita, the Torah, and even the Koran, for starters, are all older. Heck, even Julius Caesar's Commentarius is older than the bible!

The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are:
1) Testaments pointing to, and..
2) Proclaiming the Gospel of...
Jesus Christ. He is the unique and only-begotten son of God.
The other "scriptures" make no such claim.
