Like really, some of the questions you'll post have answers all over the Bible... but if only you'll have read the bible! Do you think this is because these days there is so much science in your face that you believe science and dont bother to actually read the holy scriptures for yourself to see if there is any truth in it. Or maybe because it is so much extra work and religion is so damn hard to follow!!! Is it that what makes you'll atheists... do you'll ever stop and think?

1. Atheists cannot prove that there is no God.

2. Why in the world are you trying to recruit people to not believe in God? Athesism isn't a religion.

3. I know there are some atheists out there who don't belittle people because of there faith. I'm sure that each Athesit has his or her own belief system.

4. I imagine that most Athesits believe in the Big Bang and The Theory of Evolution. These are beliefs widely held by Atheists but as with all scietific inquiry if better evidence came along for something else I'm certain you would accept it. As with all theories they are just that theories an explanation of what was thought to have happened.

Well, about me, I recently moved out to Kentucky from San Diego. Im 18 about to start my last year in Highschool.This is my problem. Ive been a Christian about 2 years now. I used to be on fire for the Lord, and i truly felt like i was near God. and God was near me. I know that the Lord is leading me in the dirrection of Youth Pastoring, and or evangelizing. Well since i recently moved out, ive been falling away from the Lord, My parents dont attend church, so as you may have guessed its been about 2 months since ive gone to church. Ive tried to do my own things like listen to sermons online from my church in San Diego, have my own bible studies. and talk with some of my christian friends. However during the day, im home almost all day, and theres not a whole lot to do, so im on the computer most of the day, buying and selling on ebay for some spending money, however i randomly get urges to look at porno. and i have an extremely hard time fighting back. I know scripture, but what to do

How can you deny the universe wasn't created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster? I mean, there are so many messed up things, obviously the FSM was drunk, or incompetent, or careless when he created it.

Further, gravity does not exist! Everything is held to the ground by the FSM's Holy Noodles.

All of this is in His Holy Gospel, therefore there is proof that He does exist!

Some people do not believe in the Trinity or the oneness of the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Here are four verses which prove that they are one and the same:
Matthew 10:20 – “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” (It is the Father who will speak through you.)
Mark 13:11 – “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premediatate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” (It is the Holy Ghost who will speak through you.)
Luke 12:12 – “For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.” (It is the Holy Ghost who will speak through you.)
Luke 21:15 – “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” (It is Jesus Christ who will speak through you.)

I feel like I've had this conversation a bazillion times, and have frequently thought about a creator, a God, etc. and what its nature would have to be to allow us to suffer so.

Really, an all powerful being that created cancer and pedophiles? I shudder to imagine. I can hypothetically accept the whole theory that 'God put all this here to test us' but really -- if you're all powerful, why do you have to make a bunch of tiny people to torture and test to see if they will believe in you no matter what reality suggests?

I just wish I could see more people at least questioning their faith and asking questions outside of the narrow (and falsely 'logical') boxes their pastors and churches put them in.

According to the Theory of Evolutionastics, life began in the ocean, and water organisms eventually evolved the ability to live on land. This is how the theory of evolution explains why we have a lot of organisms on land and in water. According to evolutoionology, all land organisms were once water organisms.

Evolutionists will tell you that frogs evolved when fish grew legs and feet. They'll also tell you that snakes are just eels that learned to live on land. Another thing evolutionism says is that seahorses came on land to evolve into regular horses.

But most evolutionists won't tell you the last step. If all land animals evolved from sea animals, then what did humans evolve from? The theory of evolution requires that humans must have evolved from merpeople who lived in the sea.

But there is no documented scientific evidence that merpeople exist, so humans could not have evolved from them. Therefore, they must have been intelligently designed by God.

My husband was an "oops" baby, and is 16 years younger than the next older sibling. Since his parents were not expecting any more children, they had no baby things for him when my mother-in-law was pregnant. My father-in-law made an absolutely beautiful rocking chair for my mother-in-law to nurse and rock him in. Since it was a chair made for him, she gave it to me on our wedding day, as she wanted his (my husband's) children to be nursed and rocked in the same chair.

We ended up not having children. It was harder for his parents to accept it than it was for mine. His mother has only mentioned the chair once to me, when she remarked quite bitterly, "If I'd known you weren't going to use it, I wouldn't have wasted it on you."

I don't know if I should simply give the chair back to my husband's mother with a warm thank you, or if I should keep it and pass it along to another person in his family later on.

What are your thoughts? I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Thanks.

The Bible describes the suspension of the Earth in space.
..........................
Job 26:7
He stretches out the north over empty space;
He hangs the earth on nothing.

..................................
The Bible describes the circulation of the atmosphere.

Ecclesiastes 1:6
The wind goes toward the south,
And turns around to the north;
The wind whirls about continually,
And comes again on its circuit.

.................................
The Bible includes some principles of fluid dynamics.

Job 28:25
To establish a weight for the wind,
And apportion the waters by measure.

......................................
The bible includes reasonably complete descriptions of the hydrologic cycle.

Psalm 135:7
He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
He makes lightning for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His treasuries.

I always see the people who want everything double bagged and I always wonder how many of them have actually had something go right through the bag. Because sometimes I think people take it to far and if the stuff is bagged right then it should be fine. I bag my own stuff and I dont double bag and I have never had it happen to me. My grandmother insists on having hers doubled or with a paper bag and I asked her this question and she said no she has never had it happen. But she doesnt want to risk it. Have any of you ever had it happen to YOU?

It seems like they often call their children by the same first names as themselves so you get George Bush Junior, so and so Rockefeller the Third etc etc.
What's the idea? Isn't it confusing for everyone to have a child with the same name as yourself? Isn't it belittling for the child to be referred to as 'junior' even when they are an adult? Oh and I've always wondered also why the use of middle initials, eg John F Kennedy. Isn't it all generally a bit pompous? How widespread is it? Why not just have a first name and a family name?
