There are certain topics on Y!A that become heated. It causes some members to wear down and eventually make mistakes. Trolls take advantage of this.

I am asking this question in several of the heated categories to gather suggestions from persons that see the problem.

Human moderators.

PAID ones.

It would cost yahoo very little.
On a message board that shall not be named, before it went bankrupt, they "hired" volunteer moderators with the claim that, eventually, these people would be paid.

These people were excellent and fair because they wanted $$$$....
Then said website went bankrupt, and "hired" a new all-volunteer moderation staff... and to this day it sucks, with boards being divided into tiny fiefdoms of nonsense...

Yahoo can learn from this example.

Lab has a good point
but I would even suggest that YA have moderators from each section that know the section
there are many great and fair people who would make excellent moderators in this section
I for one would be happy to help with this if ever it happened

I think the people should choose moderators from this section

no, no, the trolls aren't the problem. the problem is that too many people report Qs or As that are not in conjunction with their own beliefs.

its the average christian on here who causes the problems.
