My myspace account was deleted so a few hours ago I set up a new one and already I have over 100 friends simply because I have a scantily clad picture of myself as my default pic.My friend who is very sweet (albeit not so pretty) has only 4 friends so far eventhough she has much more interesting profile text. It's because she doesn't look as good as me.Men really are shallow aren't they? Discuss.
Oh and here's the link to my myspace page if you want to add me

little or no hope left? Are there any cases in which this has happened even while going through a divorce? What were the circumstances and how long did it take? I have a friend who was getting a divorce, they were each dating different people but she prayed for four months straight and got her family back.

In my previous question I asked why God hadn't healed amputees. Since salamanders can easily regrow limbs, shouldn't this be fairly easy for God to accomplish? Several people assured me that god will heal amputees.

Since, in the history of humanity, there are millions of amputees, can you please point to one documented case in which an amputee has regrown a limb? Thanks!

in the Oral Law given to Moses.

My question is to all the believers of the Abrahamic faiths.
Christianity, Judiasm and Islam.

What do you understand from your faith, what GOD states about people who deny he exsists or Atheism?

Within Judaism, they have historically been accepted as a summary of the most important ten rules of behavior which God expects all Jews to follow. The Torah records that God gave the Decalogue to Moses on Mount Sinai,

Within Christianity, the Decalogue has traditionally been regarded as the foundational laws that all Christians are to conform to. Most Christians continue to hold them in high regard,

Within Islam, the religion's holy book -- the Qur'an -- appears to refer to the Decalogue and to urge that they be followed;

1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and @$$.

Seems like he might be Pro-genocide to me.

My 2 cousins and my aunt were hit by a drunk driver and killed instantly. The next night I was sitting up awake in bed when I saw a bright figure next to my bed. I couldnt believe what I was seeing but the image came clear and I saw my cousin, 11-year-old ben look at me a smile and he dissapeared. then three months later one night I had a dream that I saw 9-year-old anna just lying in a bed of flowers and she woke up and started up white stairs and went through a gate. I woke up and looked on my desk. There was a letter made of beautiful satiny paper I opened the letter and it read 'I am with heavenly father now. I am okay.' and it was signed by annas name!!! please tell me what you think what I should do?was this spiritual or was it my concious mind trying to tell me something?

Throughout my life and more and more, I've heard on the radio and it happened to many of my friends that the boys in their family rape or sexually abuse their sister(as young as 6-8 or 11-13).

What do they all have in common? They all grew up in Christian/Catholic homes.

Why is this and how can society put a stop to this??

Why do some American Christians think/believe that America was founded on the basis of becoming a "Christian Nation"?

Do you think that the "Freedom of Religion" extends only to sects of Christianity?

Most of the answers I've seen on this point to the Bible's historical accuracy which, even if true, would only imply that the Bible is an accurate historical record of the time. What evidence exists (or is claimed to exist) that the Bible is divine in nature?

What is the unforgivable sin? suicide? blasphemy? Turning your back on/denying the existence of God? Homosexuality? Immorality? abortion? What one do you think is, and don't just list it, tell us why.

You have been sentenced to the electric chair by a fiendish political regime that wants to put you in a bind (say because of your religious beliefs), Beside you the person you love best in the world is sitting in another electric chair. You are given the option of pressing one of two buttons. If you press button A, you will die but the other person will live. If you press button B, he (or she) will die and you will live. What would you do?

The question is asked to test the morality of suicide--i.e. whether there are any circumstances whereby suicide may be justifiable and perhaps even commendable.

I am ESL
Just wondering, I often heard people merge the syllables when pronouncing English words, is this acceptable and common?

Such as the other day, I heard my teacher speak:
"a mi no" acid as "am min no" acid
(merging am and min together)
also words like:
"ma ni pu late" or "man ni pulate"
"com pa ny" or "com pan ny"
etc.
I am confused. Appreciate a lot if someone can clarify :)

I was raised Catholic and would like to know the difference, I know Christians get baptised when there older to get saved, and catholics as babies, and that Christians don't believe you have to confess your sins to a priest, just directly to God,,,, am I wrong or right? and what are some other differences,,, is there any reason a Catholic would want to be Christian instead, are those the only 2 reasons why there called different names?

I think just by the way I was raised I was taught to help people in need. One time I remember it was snowing so bad in Colorado that I was on my way home and saw this care on the side of the road. The car had a flat tire and the occupant was just sitting inside the car.

I asked the occupant did they need help or was a tow truck on the way, she replied no and that she did not know how to change the tire. She had a infant in the car with her, I told her to go wait in my car while I fix the tire, it was snowing so bad that it took me almost 30 min to change the tire. Once I put the tire on and got her back on the road she was very grateful and thanked me many times. I asked her how long was she waiting before I came up, she said almost 2hrs on the side of the road.

It amazed me that nobody stopped to help her or see if anything was wrong. So have you ever helped a stranger out?
