This researcher noticed that this sequence is only found in people prior to sincere conversions to Christianity. After conversion, it mysteriously disappears. This doesn't work for other religions and for Christian like cults. The pope has condemned this finding, because it also doesn't work for most Catholics. He is also concerned that scientist might find a away to remove this DNA sequence without requiring the blood of Jesus and donations to his church. The sequence seems to reappear in the genes of backsliders, casting doubt on the once saved always saved doctrine.

I mean, how do you really know if it's the right way or not?

How are Christians suppose to accept homosexuals who say they are believers in Christ Jesus and in all of what God's Word in the BIble says about their lifestyle, but do not accept the idea that God in whatever person (Father, Son and/or Holy Spirit), if only asked, can change their sexuality?

In the first place you are right that homosexual and lesbian sexual behavior are indeed condemned in the scriptures (see, for instance, Romans 1:26-27). But then so is adultery, theft, and a host of other sins. The Bible does not encourage us to treat homosexual persons with less respect, or as worse sinners, than any other kind of sinner. The old distinction between loving the sinner but not loving the sin is a good one and applies.
We are not called to accept anyone's sinful lifestyle, be they heterosexual or homosexual. In regard to welcoming people into the church, everyone is welcome to come as they are. But no one is welcome to stay as they are.

Jesus calls all of us--all sinners--to change. The church is supposed to be a hospital for sick sinners, not a museum for saints. The New Testament clearly teaches that whatever one's sinful inclinations, God's grace is sufficient to help anyone get beyond temptation and resist sin (see 1 Cor. 10:12-13).

The issue here is not one's inclinations or temptations but one's behavior. The New Testament teaches that one's behavior can be modified with the help of God's grace. Is God's grace powerful enough even to change human nature and its fallen orientations? Yes indeed, and there are numerous authentic testimonies of former gay and lesbian persons as well as former liars, thieves, heterosexual sinners, etc. who make this evident.

Does the end justify the means or should people not live their lives based on inaccurate information.

Religion, religion, religion that is all we've ever been told about the spirit....

then there is the obsession with dead people... that is not spirit either...

What is spirituality... it is a union with nature... conversations.... trees have things to tell us, the stones the oceans, the sky, fire, the rivers and even the oil from the earth have things, views, oppinions and information they would love to share with us....
Now is the time to share these stories.... we are all just beginiing to start anew with each other...

If not "atheist," what term best applies?

Why, when it comes to asking question about religon, christianity is the main one getting bashed so badly? What did christians ever do to anybody? Seriously, you see other questions about Muslim, Catholicism , or even Atheism and people are open to it. But the second "God", "Jesus", or "christianity" comes up every one gets rude and disrespectful? If we can put questions about sexual positions and fetishes and not be criticized............. why not religous questions?

My friend asked me to be her bridesmaid and buy her dress 2 weeks before my wedding last Oct. even when her wedding was over a year away. Which I thought was a little rude but I said yes anyway, but off buy the dress till I was back and could afford the dress. In Dec, she asks me to buy the dress, but by then my money was tight, (as in living pay check to pay check, owning a new house & just getting married will do that to you) I tell her that I think it is best that I back out as a bridesmaids due to the fact that I can not live up to my bridesmaid duties.(others backed out too) She seemed to understand. Her wedding is/was in July so I gave her enough time. We keep talking and nothing seems different. Well I was never invited to the wedding. I think that was kind of rude to ask me to be her bridesmaid but when I can’t she didn't invite me at her wedding?

(Now keep in mind this whole time she keeps saying she is not sure she wants to marry this guys at all)

The earth and universe is only 6000 years old? Disease is caused by demons and can be cured by exorcism? Islam is intolerant, but Christianity alone allows for freedom of religion. etc. etc. All these things have been stated by Christians on yahoo answers.

How is it possible to hate something you do not believe in. I am an atheist and that would be like me saying I hate Goblins or gremlins or Santa. You can't hate something you do not believe in.

I think it's unfair to dismiss their white heritage, but as soon as you have a bit of black in you, you are automatically classed as black.

I'm not saying that every mixed race person has experienced that, I've just made a few observations

One who is more open-minded is one who is willing to consider a wider range of ideas before adopting beliefs. With this in mind, isn't it obvious that creationists are more open-minded than evolutionists?

Their beliefs are not governed by things like logic and evidence, and the science they believe is not based on things like predictive power or inference to the best explanation. Evolutionists, on the other hand, rely on evidence and logic before adopting their beliefs and thus are not open to illogical or unsubstantiated beliefs, whereas creationists are.

Doesn't that show that Creationists are more open-minded?

What does it mean when religious types say that they will not tolerate homosexuality or that we as a society should not tolerate homosexuality? What are they suggesting that we do? I am straight, but I have nothing against homosexuals. I have homosexuals where I work, where I go to school, and in other public places which I frequent. However, I do not feel that I am having to tolerate anything. Use of the word “tolerate” makes me think of two men having sex in my office while I am trying to do my job. It would be difficult to tolerate that. But if two men are having sex in their own bedroom, or have their arms around each other at the mall, or get married and have a wedding that I am not required to attend, I do not feel like that has any effect on my life whatsoever, and I do not feel that I am having to tolerate anything. Maybe religious types should mind their own business. If you think your God doesn’t like homosexuals, let him deal with it.
