Well, I have a low threshold for pain, so being martyred in some slow torturous way because I'm a Christian is certainly high on my fear list ...
But as a new father, my worst fear is that increased hatred toward Christianity in the world will lead to the separation of my son from me before he is old enough to understand what is going on. The thought of an atheistic social worker or anti-Christian police officer confiscating my infant from his "dangerous" parents - and picturing him in complete bewilderment about where "Mommy and Daddy" are has me praying daily that he will be kept safe from such things - at least until he is old enough to understand what is going on.

I'm not a theist, but my worst fear is that an 800 foot tall Jesus will tell me to cut my hair and face furniture, rub in some Brylcreme, get a suit and tie, and collect a lot of money to build a hospital in some gawdawful town in Texas.

I have possibly two greatests fears. They are tied. One is of insanity, of being trapped inside my own mind with no real control over my compulsions or actions.
Is to look back on the day of my death, and be ashamed of the life I had lived...that I wasn't as good a person as i think i should have been, or that I didn't live up to my potential, my own expectations and plans. Dissappointment, in short.

What I fear really has nothing to do with theology. I fear losing the ones I love.

Mankind will continue to grow in self sufficiency and the misalignment between their will and God's will grow even larger.

My worst fear is outliving my son. I would want to die if I lost him.
